The leash detached from my dog, and my dog was swimming out further into the Chesapeake while getting tangled. We got her to come back, thank God. The leash itself is durable, but the clip on this is terrible!

I wanted a lot of leash for training my puppy, and that’s what I got! We don’t have a fenced yard, so this is a good solution to letting him have a bit more free reign. The leash is more like a rope and I doubt a dog could chew through it easily… though not impossible, so you must be with your dog while on it. I will also mention that if your dog likes to run, they may injure themself once they reach the end of their rope as they gain too much speed and the sudden stop could hurt their neck. My puppy likes to bound around, so I reel out a little at a time and then reel it back in to make sure there isn’t too much rope. I wouldn’t use this leash while the dog is unattended, I can see them getting tangled up in it or caught on something. You need to be paying close attention to your dog if you use this leash.
