Very happy with these. Hiked 20 miles this weekend, right out of the box ( no break in period) and they handled great. Temps 50 to 25.

The shoe is more of a 12.5 not 13. It is also not waterproof. I stepped in 2 inches of water for about 3 minutes. I ended up with water on my socks. I had to let the shoe dry out. It has very good stability and comfort, though I cannot recommend it.

This hiking boot is very comfortable. I have 2 pairs of the same; one is waterproof, the other is not. I like these because there is a lot of room in the toe box. They also have a few unique features, like having the laces remain stationary as you cinch them up. When I first put them on, they feel like slippers (each time I wear them).

TOPO boots fit great, are not hot or sweaty considering they’re waterproof.Very good traction on many types of terrain, even on icy trails. Scary secure, confident grip.I also have Pursuit 2’s which are nice for warmer days.

A reasonably good boot. My previous pair are still wearing well. I got these as I was unable to find a pair in my size, locally. I changed from favourite Merrells to Topos to pick up that extra cushioning, for a foot issue. Just be aware, that if like me you also have a wonky ankle, then you may notice a slight increase in your tendency to wobble because of that extra cushioning.

aside from comfort, the lacing system could be better. Laces up fast , but the compression of the anchor is very tight. Seems like to would wear out the laces faster than expected, but at the same time it holds the laces anchor point well, so it won't slip. It just takes a bit of effort to hook around the lace anchor point on the top two lace anchors.

My application is probably not what most buyers are looking for in a good hiking shoe, however they’re perfectly suited for my needs at work having to be outside and inside during all of the seasons. They’re especially useful during the winter months because they’re not only a comfortable shoe, but they keep my feet dry and warm. The wide toe box is essential for me as well, my toes can naturally spread and relax in this shoe. It supports the foot in all areas very well and gives excellent traction on wet, and slippery surfaces. Just. I’ve recommended them to my family and friends as well as my co-workers, and I have several pair in different styles applications. Just an all around great shoe!

This is a comfortable mid-boot with a good grip. I used this for Whitney and another couple of long hikes in Nor Cal, and it was a perfect shoe. The shoe is very roomy and feels true to size.

I liked them but I needed a full boot around my ankle. Very comfy and I loved the topo wide toe box.

Recommended by a specialist outdoor shoe fitter, I thought that I had found the best long-term replacement for my now discontinued go-to lowa wide-fit shoes for long-distance multi-day walking trips. It all started extremely well with both pairs of phenomenally comfortable and lightweight trailfinder boots and shoes, with my level of grip and average speed noticeably increasing as a result. As winter months approached, both the creases above the ball of the foot started to detach allowing water ingress. The mesh tops also snagged all too easily in thick vegetation. I suppose it was a dream believing that I could have lightweight, grippy and flexible waking boots and shoes that were also durable and waterproof. That said, I expected them to be more robust, reliable and last more than a year. I’ve just started my 3rd new pair, but I have to accept that they won’t last like other boots, which is disappointing given their high and ever increasing price. I won’t buy a 4th pair and will have to start looking for another manufacturers boot. :(

Bought these for a trip where I was going to be hiking in some snow. I love Topos but wasn't sure if this boot would work hiking through snow. With the “sneaker” look I thought it might leak in and soak my foot. Happy to say after hiking all weekend and camping overnight in the snow these performed nicely. My feet stayed dry and warm. So long as I was moving. Once I stopped tho my toes got cold. However people wearing Scarpas had the same complaint. For the most part they were warm and comfy. The next day it warmed up and there was wet snow and puddles. Still stayed dry.I only have two minor complaints. One being the laces wont stay tied unless you double knot them. The string is too slick or something. The second is the lugs are weak on these shoes. On my other tools the lugs are very aggressive. These are slightly less so. I def could feel the difference.In short I would recommend for light winter hiking. I wouldn't take these over 14k as they are not mountaineering boots. For recreational activities I think they will be fine.

In March 2023, I purchased the Topo Trailventure 2 WP boots for Spring and Fall backpacking. My first use was on a hike on Mt. Hood, OR in November 2023. After a couple of hours of hiking, I could feel the rain soaking my socks from the tongue area of the boot.After the hike I inspected the interior of the boot to see if the eVent bootie had any flaws. None were found, but I did notice a stitching line running along each side of the tongue. My assumption is the stich line isn’t taped for waterproofness. For the last thirty years, I’ve always wore boots with a Gore-Tex bootie and not once has my feet ever got wet when hiking and backpacking in the rain or snow.After several email exchanges (including several photographs of the boots) with Topo’s customer service department, I was notified that these boots were out inventory and was given a discount coupon to purchase up to three pairs of footwear at 50% off by the end of 20023. This was on November 9, 2023, 16 days before Black Friday…….seriously, Topo is out of inventory before the start of X-mas season?So now I have a $180.00 pair boots that are not waterproof as claimed by Topo and they refuse to stand behind their product and make the customer whole. Buyer beware….
