Note:

1. It is not for use on the 2meter band,CB band or wifi.

2. Never mount a vertically polarized yagi in the middle of the boom on a metal mast.

3. When receiving, when the vibrator is perpendicular to the ground, it is conducive to long-distance communication. If the vibrator is parallel to the ground, it will affect the gain and form an Angle with the ground, which is not conducive to long-distance communication.

4. The Yagi antenna is no need operates for a grounding in most cases. But you can ground antenna via the outer conductor of the connector and the cable, or through the mounting hardware, you can install a lightning surge protector between the Yagi and a device to prevent a lightning strike to the antenna from damaging your device and equipment.

Questions 1: Is the SWR of the antenna to be less than 1.5?

Answer 1:

Antennas are rigorously tested by a comprehensive measuring instrument before the delivery, the SWR conforms to the technical parameters provided by the manufacturer (less than 1.5) within the frequency range of the antenna.But the test results of SWR are affected by many factors, such as test frequency, antenna installation mode and installation position, feeder line, test instrument and so on.Generally speaking, antennas can be used normally when SWR under 2.0.If your antenna's swr is too high,we will be happy to analyze and solve for you.

Questions 2: Is the antenna suitable for indoor or outdoor use?

Answer 2: It can be used both indoors and outdoors.It depends on what you use it for.

This is a good antenna, not great. It works for around town but not much more. I would buy again because I think the price is good for what you get.

Seems built ok. I used a nano VNA to set the SWR for GMRS band. Unfortunately I couldn’t hit repeaters within 10 miles even with this yagi. So I can’t confirm it works well. It was almost picking up repeaters from the backside better than the front so who knows? I threw it in the trash.

I wish there was a better connection to the radiating element, that were the case it would probably work even better.As for my use I just need to hit a repeater about 20 miles away to be able to make emergency contact with my buddies who live in Castle Rock, I am in Colorado Springs.

I'm pleased with the performance of this antenna as far as what I need it for. I have no idea of how well it performs overall, but I'm guessing it does OK.

Tuning was a snap using the attached Gamma Match. VSWR less than 1.20 over the entire 70 cm band. I did rivet the bracket to the boom for a sturdier attachment to the mast via the U-Bolt.One note to be aware of is that the included U-Bolt is not 30-40mm as stated. The maximum mast diameter the U-Bolt can accommodate is 35mm (1.375" not 1.50")
