Anyone with a motorcycle needs this to do their fork seals. Worked as intended. Took me 10 mins to do the job!

Material is not strong enough. May work for bicycles, that require less tension, but do not recommend for my street motorcycle. compression tool handles bent, on first use. if quick enough, you may be able to slip the dampner guide holder, but did not get that far. Tool destroyed motorcycle inner fork cartridge tube resulting in destroyed inner cartridge tube and delayed repair for extended 2 weeks for new parts. Increased $$$ costs from damage and doesn't make work easier. Upset, unhappy, frustrated, and disgusted. Beware... key disclosure statement in title, "works with most upside down streetbike forks.." I guess mine @ 300.3mm was not one of them , and, i believe tension on my bike to be lower than standard 8.5-9.5N/mm. Be cautious of amazon recommended, I could be wrong, but looks to be more on frequency of purchase based on cost, not quality.

Don’t try to struggle without this…The fork springs are strong and this makes the job so much easier. A little learning curve with the first fork makes the second fork a piece of cake.

The reason why I like them is because i was able to fix my own bike instead of sending it to the shop.

Bought to use on my 2004 GSX-R750, and both the tool pieces fit without issue. The ring tool is made of aluminum, but was absolutely plenty strong to hold the spring down while someone else slips the card onto the damping rod. Absolutely no risk of bending it whatsoever. The card/shim piece also fit onto my damping rod with no issue, and didn't slip off.My GSX-R fork springs aren't the stiffest in the world, but I had to put maybe almost my entire body weight on the ring tool to compress the spring, maybe 100-130lbs, and the tool didn't have any trouble with this. The folks who are bending these are probably doing something wrong. Like with any tool, use with care, and have a friend help and it should work just fine for light-duty DIY fork work.Worked as expected and should work again in the future as many times as I need it to.

Made to good quality but i would recommend that the design is just a little off.The adjustable prongs have been machined with tapered prongs whereas it would work better if the prongs were machined straight and thereby would not tend to squeeze spacer tubes inward as downward force is applied

Worked to help me get my fork springs on new cartridges installed for my 2014 Tiger 800 XC.One little trick (for me at least). Pull up the fork tube almost to the top. Otherwise the spring would flex a little and cause everything to shift. Once I had the fork tube near the top it worked great. I also tied a string around the inner threads to pull it up once I had everything compressed. String in the teeth, one hand pushing down on this tool and the other sliding in the 17mm wrench. I am such I looked stupid doing it, but it’s done!
