After a couple times using it to figure out the cooking levels, I got it nailed. Super easy to use and clean. As I tend to eat 2 boiled eggs each morning, I make six and put them in the fridge. The eggs peal easily. Once you try it a couple of times to get your eggs coming out the way you like, you'll never use the stove to boil eggs again.

Delivery fast, quality is ok, but it should have a buzzer when done that will be better.

I had this machine for 3 weeks and I don't pay attention to how much water I added to boil my eggs. But it works anyway and save a lot of your time

Love this! So easy that my boyfriend and kids are able to use it.....they just don’t because food always tastes better when mom makes it :)Only draw back is not auto shut off or timer, easy enough to deal with. I would buy this again.

This has to be by far the best way to make hard boiled eggs. To make soft boiled eggs you really have to be on top of it.

My eggs are easy to peel; and the hard boiled eggs are perfectly beautiful.I disregarded a customer's review about just buying the VonShef Electric Egg Cooker and not buy any others; and ended up having to return my choice because the electric egg cooker I chose ended up with spilled egg whites in the pan and water on the counter. Since the water ended up my counter instead of in the too shallow pan, my eggs were also soft boiled instead of the hard boiled I wanted.Needless to say, I did not let myself become discouraged; I ordered the VonShef Electric Egg Cooker immediately and returned the other one. Following the instructions from the review I read, I filled the deeper VonShef stainless pan with as much filtered water as it could hold; and let the refrigerated eggs and water warm up to room temperature. Then I use the timer to time the 12 minute hard boiled eggs. I usually do three at a time. I then take the eggs off the bracket and put in them in the small plastic poached egg bowl (big enough for three eggs). Next I turn off the egg cooker by unplugging or turn off the on/off three-prong ground switch the cooker is plugged into. I turn on the cold water tap to cool the eggs under it; and them start peeling them right away.To clean up, I dump the now cooled water left in the pan and refill it with filtered water for the next time. Remember using it this way, the egg cooker is turned on by the round button on the front; and turned off by either unplugging or using the on/off switch which the cord is plugged into. It also means you have to use a timer to time your eggs; for, if you want to keep your pan from scorching, you cannot wait for the egg cooker to turn off by using all the water in the bottom pan.The instruction booklet says to not let the pan run dry; but it also states that it will automatically turn itself off if you measure your water and let it run dry. A contradiction if I ever heard one. Remember, with water left in the pan, it will not automatically turn off nor will the front round button work to turn it off since there is water left in the pan.I hope I am making sense; and this gives you wonderful eggs. For your info I use a 12" timer on 3 hard boiled eggs if I let the water and eggs warm to room temperature before pressing the on button in front.Enjoy your VonShef Egg Cooker. Takes up little room and the top cover and bottom pan is stainless steel; and easy to wipe dry.

It is such a Tiny Little Appliance. Perfect for any small kitchen. It worked perfectly for my son last night. HOWEVER when he plugged it in the light was on. Not sure if that was the way it was supposed to be. He walked away for about 15 minutes or more and when he came back he had 7 perfect hard boiled eggs. I asked him about the light and he just shrugged his shoulders. So I still doidn't know if the light goes off when it is DONE?This morning I read the instruction:*Plug the unit into power socket, press down the power button and THE INDICATOR LIGHT WILL SHOW that the egg boiler is working.*The power will be turned off once the water in the egg boiler is empty. It will indicate the steamed egg is ready WHEN THE INDICATOR LIGHTS.OK - I'm TOTALLY CONFUSED! Now I know why my son just shrugged his shoulders. So THE INDICATOR LIGHT WILL SHOW that the egg boiler is working AND AND AND... WHEN THE INDICATOR LIGHTS it tells you the power has been turned off.Is it just MEEEEEE or what?PLUS there isn't any instructions anywhere that tells you how to make Poached eggs in the little plastic dish. It is not Teflon or Silicone - so I can see that being a royal cleanup mess or having to soak it before attempting to clean it. I"m thinking of buying a similar size Silicone bowl and using that... as long as it fits in/under the dome. ;>)As of now - I have no idea on how much water to use and long it takes to make 2 poached eggs in the Poaching dish... or how much water to use and how long to steam a small handful of fresh or thawed out veggies. My son loves it for the hard boiled eggs - BUT I'd Like to use it for Poached Eggs and Steam Veggies... as soon as my son lets me know if the power is on when the light is on or off.Does anyone know how to make two completely poached eggs with no clear runny egg whites? About how much water would I use and for approximately how long to steam it? And how about the veggies?OH - BIG PLUS HERE! I half expected this to have one of those el-cheapo wall plugs like all the Chinese/Japanese electronic items have - like I get all the time on eBay. You know - the plugs that do not have a Pos/Neg and won't even stay in the wall! This have a very sturdy well made Polarized plug with the 3rd prong. I AM VERY IMPRESSED with this. See how Tiny this is and fits in any corner? Thanks, ;>)
