Not happy. I set it up, connected to Wi-Fi, and operated for about a year. It never got tested in water environment. But I did test to see that was active. About 11 months into use, the unit on the wall died. Totally disappointing.

These are great. We have 4 of them. Simple integration with Smart Life and a main water shutoff valve. Recommend everyone get this. First one was 18 months ago and not had to change any batteries.

The app works well and the hub and sensors were simple to connect-especially for a 2.4hz only device. I don't use Alexa. Each sensor can have it's own settings (sound, light, ring tone) which is nice. I put one by the washing machine and the other two under my sinks. This would also be great as a backup for an a/c condensation pan. Each sensor has two pairs of contact points, on top and bottom of the sensor. Hopefully, the leak will be detected early before the bottom contacts are activated. The instructions were easy to understand and connecting the sensors is s simple matter of pressing a button on the hub and then pulling out the battery tab. It beeps immediately and is connected. You can also rename each sensor to indicate its location. A nice option to have.

Getting a water alarm for the basement has been on my adult to-do list, right up there with life insurance and a will. You know you need it, but you probably won't need it TODAY. After doing my usual research I decided on this one. It works with the Tuya app. I already have 2 solar lights, multiple installed ceiling lights and a Wifi gateway already on the same ecosystem. Even though the instructions mention another app, the app looked very similar to the Tuya app, and even referenced the privacy policy on Tuya's website. I used the Tuya app, and paired it quickly. Then I figured out how to pair the sensors. First, bring the base station up in the app, then hit the pairing button on the base. Then, if you haven't already, pull the battery tab out of the sensor. THEN, wet your fingers and touch the two silver buttons. This will make a loud alert (Be prepared) and pair the sensor with the base. Do that with the other two sensors. I like how I can rename 'Sensor1' to whatever I want. I also like how, independent of the base, each sensor has a loud alarm. So, if you ever have a leak in the basement (Very easy. Washing machine hoses don't last forever.), you'll get alerted by the specific sensor (It's LOUD), the base station will play a tune (Odd hearing cheery music when you might have a disaster, but whatever. It's changeable), AND the phone app will notify you, wherever you are! Yes, the base connects to Wifi. The sensors feel like good quality and everything seems well designed. The app shows the battery life for each sensor. Overall I'm very pleased. Ordinarily, I'd be worried some no-name Chinese app would stop working in a year or two while you might be expecting something that will last 10 years or more. I forget the company that makes Tuya, but it's BIG. I expect support for a while. My lights have been on it for about 2 years, with zero problems.

I probably could have gotten a more mainstream brand but most of the products were like this: cheaply made Chinese toys. What to expect: bad user interface. Difficult time getting to pair with the ap as well as the network. Goofy warnings that make as sense as any translated instructions. Yes the alarm goes off when exposed to water. Yes it shows up on your phone. But you need to purchase a subscription to enable the usage of anything other than an audible alarm. In other words: to use it as advertised. I can’t remember exactly how much- I think only $5 or $10 per year but an irritant nonetheless. Not sure how many other competitive units play this game but throw in the crappy ap, nonsensical ui and it doesn’t give me the confidence I want to feel that this thing will tell me if my fridge or dishwasher starts to leak.

We have had a lot of rain this year and a few of the houses around us have seen their basements flood so we have been very concerned about our basement flooding. We had a water alarm, but it would only work if we were home and could hear it, and we have to manually check the batteries every so often. This perfectly solves both of those concerns, since it uses WiFi we will be alerted on our phones anywhere if there is water at one of the sensors or if the batteries get low.The setup was very easy, we already use Smart Home and adding the JJGELOS WiFi Water Leak Detector was very intuitive as was adding the sensors. Now we have confidence that if there was flooding or if the water heater or washing machine started leaking, we will be immediately notified.

I recently installed this water leak detector in my home, and it has exceeded my expectations in both ease of use and functionality. The setup was a breeze, thanks to its user-friendly design, and connecting it to my WiFi network was seamless. Just a reminder, it only connects to your 2.4 ghz so it maximizes the coverage of your wifi. With five sensors strategically placed throughout my house, I felt confident that every potential water-prone area was covered. This device proved its worth when it detected a small leak early on, allowing me to address the issue promptly before it escalated into a major problem. The timely warning on my phone not only saved me from a potential disaster but also showcased the detector's reliability in safeguarding my home. I highly recommend this water leak detector for its simplicity, comprehensive coverage, and invaluable preventative capabilities.
