My husband is now retired and looking to get back into his woodworking hobby. He loves this woodrouter kit. He did not have one to use for some of his woodworking projects. He loves that it has all the basic features and bits he needs for upcoming projects. He recommends it!

Works well for the casual woodworker. Bits and power are probably lacking for doing serious work. Bits are easy to change, but the depth adjustment is rudimentary.

Where exactly are you supposed to plug this thing in the United States, certainly not in any standard outlet…?

I do lots of different wood working projects and this router has come in handy plenty of times. It’s a great value and comes with many different tips to fit all your needs and wants. There’s plenty of power and the bits are sharp right out the box. A solid choice and for a full kit you can’t beat the price

It is a basic 1/4 trim router, with several useful bits. It starts up nicely, no vibration, well balanced. The added guides are potentially helpful, but most router users make specific jigs to guide the router.Only con is that it is.not technically a "plunge" router. A plounge router has an additional external frame that lowers the router in place.

For the dyi this router kit comes with everything you need to start working with wood, the case is a nice touch that actually helps to keep everything organized, I think I may have to get me another one as wife just claimed this one already.

I got this router for simple edge routing projects. It's easier to use than my full sized dewalt router for that kind of work. But I'll still use my big router for more substantial routing jobs.I'm a long time hobbyist woodworker. I've made everything from the basement windows on our house, to the crib our sons used as babies, to a chainsaw carved rabbit (and most every thing in between). I have a literal ton of woodworking tools, but this is my first palm router.I wouldn't call this router lightweight, but it's much lighter than my standard sized one, making it easier for me to keep it flat while routing the edges of boards. It comes with a nice variety of bits, which is really good since I had no 1/4" shank bits to use. (The small size of the bits surprised me, but after a little research, I think they're very common for palm routers to use.)It's very quiet and does a good job rounding over edges. I didn't notice it slowing down or struggling at all when I tried it.One of the pictures in the description calls this s 21V cordless router, but that's not true. It's a 110V corded router, which to be fair, is what the written description says.It comes with a fence and an edge guide that screw onto the adjustable base. They work well, but I'm concerned how they'll hold up over time as the connecting bolt threads directly into the plastic rather than a metal nut.Overall, it feels like a decent palm router. It spins true, isn't very loud, and seems to have adequate power. I'm happy with this order.
