I have a Stihl 024AV wood boss and it's starting to get hard to find parts for it. Thankfully it uses the same carb, spark plug, etc as the 026 (much more common), but the filter wouldn't fit a 024 if you tried. Totally wrong filter for that. It would have been nice as those filters are now $30 plus.

I only purchased this kit to use the carb. I had difficulty getting freshly rebuilt stihl chainsaw started even after rebuilding OEM carb. Purchased this, installed, saw started on 2nd pull. I am not an advocate for using these long term but gave me the diagnosis I needed. Replaced with OEM carb and purrs like a kitten now. I will keep on the bench for future saws for troubleshooting.

Carb works great, air filter did NOT fit and the fuel line was WRONG. Luckily I was able to get one the same day.Other than that it worked great. I would just make sure all parts included fit your machine.It’s an Older model Stihl 024 AV Wood Boss

Worked perfect. Only downfall, the airrfilter did not fit. But for the price of this kit, I just sprung for a stihl.

I have replaced impulse and fuel hoses several times, worked on the old carb, etc. This new carburetor made the 40 year old saw run like new for less than I have been paying for OE Stihl hoses! For the price, I don't care at all that the included air filter isn't right for the 026. One thing: the idle mixture adjustment is very sensitive. I had to screw it in 1/8 turn. Before that, it would fire but not continue to run. Even 1/16 of a turn makes a difference
