The pin is heavy duty. the spring is not real hard to pull. the park position works smooth.

I welded this latch to my trailer gate, but it can also be bolted on. It has bolt holes pre-drilled, but does not come with additional hardware. The springs are very strong and the design and quality are top of the line. It is thick enough steel to easily weld it without a concern. Can't go wrong with this product
