This Phone is JUNK. Bad Reception. Always have to call tech to fix the problems.

Purchased this phone to add a few handsets to easily access calls from different rooms and while the phone works well, the sound quality is beyond terrible. I can barely hear anything even at max volume and the speaker mode is just as quiet, no point in using that mode at all. Terribly disappointed and wouldn't recommend when calls are important to your business

This handset is available with firmware that is specific to different VoIP service providers and it is not shown at all in the listing. I purchased 2 handsets from a third party vendor and cannot register them to my W56P base station. What I have found so far is that the handsets I received have a firmware version of 61.83.0.90. I could only find this version under a "bsft" directory on Yealink's support site which I believe means it is for a Broadsoft specific VoIP system. The firmware updates for the non-specific version of the handset currently end at 61.83.0.50. I don't know this for certain, but I believe this is likely why the handset will not register to my base station.Net result, be careful to verify the handsets you are buying are not for a specific VoIP system or have a firmware version compatible with your VoIP system. Or make sure you test them before your return window runs out.The phones themselves when they are working, are good phones. DECT range is good throughout a 3 story house with the base station on the top floor. Sound quality for the earpiece and speakerphone are good. Battery life is great for talk time and standby. Only minor nit is they're not ergonomically great. They're too long and to comfortably use hands free, they have an accessory that snaps on the back, but that accessory gets in the way of normal use so it's a little clunky. I usually switch to the speakerphone if I need to go hands free.
