Sound quality is surprisingly good for the price but they had a lot of excess wax clumps on the tops of the bobbins. I was able to remove it easily enough in a few minutes with a heat gun but even at such a low price I should not have to do that.

Lots of white noise even at low volume. No wiring diagram included. Wired according to a Seymour Duncan diagram as that's what these are supposed to be patterned after, but ended up only sounding decent in position 2 and 4 of the 5-way switch. Sounds very thin in position 1, 3, 5 and constantly noisy in all positions. Will be returning them and getting another brand.

Replacement for cheap P90s that were in my homemade "Lugcaster". I liked the idea of replacing my original pickups because of the coil splitting option on those humbuckers. The switch between the volume and the tone control on the Lugcaster splits both humbuckers.Very nice tones in full humbucking mode and in split mode. When in split mode, the tone is unmistakably the tone of single coils with of course a little drop in volume. Surprisingly silent in split mode even with an overdrive maxed out AND a compressor. I have yet to try them with a distosion pedal. In full humbucker mode it is blues/rock paradise. For those who wonder, next to the watch there is a switch that engages piezzos under the watch and the the circular pad next to it so I can add some percussion when looping :-)

Simple wiring. Nice fat sound through distortion. They would squeal terribly at higher volume, but I wax potted them and that took care of that. Can't expect much more for the price.
