Bought this to use with calculator app and excel. It works for for excel but the calculator app won’t recognize it.

This keypad is beautiful. I can use it with my work computer - a ThinkPad. It works exactly as described. A note: It is incompatible with my MacBook Air, which runs High Sierra OS - it could be that my operating system is super old. However, I bought it for the ThinkPad, and I'm very happy with it. It's comfortable and easy to plug in and use with the Windows OS my work installed on my computer (no idea which one).

I do alot of numbers typing and like to sit back in my chair and relax and not have to be right up on the keyboard. This thing works awesome I use it all the time

This device was plug and play. It tells you to press a certain key to connect in the instruction booklet but i've not yet had to actually perform that command. All keys work as you'd expect them to, except the calculator looking button (not sure what that does, probably programable). DOES NOT WORK WITH MODIFIER KEYS. If you are buying this instead of getting a full size keyboard, BE WARNED, you will not be able to use modifier keys like CTRL, OPTN, CMND, or SHIFT on the regular keyboard with the keys on this extension keypad. Ie. opening counter, transport, automation, session settings, beat detective, video, ETC on Pro Tools... you can't do any of these commands.
