ZONETECH PORTABLE 12V FRYING PAN (powered by your cars accessory ports)So, on a sunny morning around 7am I tested this frying pan out in my truck. the dashboard digital thermometer said it was about 55-deg-F this morning, phones weather app is in agreement. So, I plug this pan into an accessory port in my truck and off we go…It took about 1 minute 30 seconds for this pan to get hot enough to make me move my hand off of it with urgency… (so it heats up kina slow)AT 3 minutes, I added two eggs to the pan, scrambled them up, added some ground black pepper and it took about 17 to 20 minutes for my eggs to get to the consistency that I like them which is basically nothing soft or “runny” is left… may be different for you….AT 22 minutes, I moved the eggs over to the “cool side” of the pan (there should not be a cool side of the pan), then tore a strip of turkey bacon into 3rds and set them in the pan . They heat well…looks like they will get cooked as far well-done as you want to let them sit for…This Portable 12v pan passes the test I guess… cooks a little too slowly for my greater liking, I’d like to be able to add eggs and bacon and finish cooking in about half that time 10 minutes… so the unit seems slow for my liking…Also. the lid does not sit just right on this pan it wobbles like it doesn't quit fit the pan… more irritating than anything else I guess...It seems also that the internal heating element in this unit I received is off-center from the pan's cooking surface... so from the handle the left side of the pan was always much hotter than the right side. Hence this pan has a cool side. Now, does this unit get things hot enough to sterilize what your cooking? … well, I got out my trusty IR thermometer to check things out and I saw surface temperatures in the pan from 175 to 260-deg-F and temps on a piece of turkey bacon I picked up out of the pan 160 to 180-deg-F along its length. (This IR thermometer is just measuring “SURFACE TEMPERATURE” on scrambled eggs and turkey bacon strips; so not really telling of the 140 to 160 degree-F INTERNAL TEMPERATURES recommended by government agencies depending on what you're cooking.)This pan also has no means of temperature control or even just a “Keep-Warm/hot” function… would be niceThis pan has a nice Non-Stick surface that seems to work well, I basically just ran faucet water on it and everything washed right off… and I was using spray-on PAM cooking oil…BOTTOM LINE: This pan feels slow and under-powered to me. (maybe I just need to get real because it’s only a 12-volt accessory port powered item but it’s the first and only one I’ve owned). The craftsmanship leaves some to be desired with the off-center heating coil and the lid that doesn’t quite fit the pan. Also, it’s a small 8-inch pan so if you’re trying to make food for more than one person good luck… I think your gonna be at it for quite some time. But this unit EVENTUALLY does get the cooking job done when it comes to light breakfast foods like a couple of eggs and bacon…although slowly…

Took an hour to cook 1/4 cup of veggies then it took over an hour to cook a half pound of crumbled hamburger. Wouldn’t recommend unless u like waste money and have all day to cook a meal.

I tried to cook some scrambled eggs. After like a half hour, I gave up. Might be ideal to keep soup warm after it's already been heated. Or if you can leave it idle for a long time, it will get the job done. It still stays in my trunk,

Heats up fairly quick but takes a while to cook. Will get the Job done just make sure not to use up your battery becuase making a Grilled Cheese sandwhich on this takes 40 minutes. Upside is you'll likely not burn your food as it about low-medium heat

Just trying to heat up some cooked sausage and fry a couple eggs to make a sandwich 10 minutes later still waiting. Truck driver's don't always have this kind of time. At 15 minutes the butter is just getting warm , not to happy with this. thought this would be better than the ROADPRO BRAND. And at 20 minutes still waiting dang I'm hungry.

This portable non-stick 2-quart pan is extremely convenient with rapid heat-up features. The stay-cool handles are a nice touch, making it easy to move around without burning yourself. I love how quickly it heats up, saving time when you're on the go. The size is perfect for small meals on the road or in nature (think stew or heating hotdogs and chili).
