The side threading is very easy to use but be advised that if you are sewing soft or loose woven fabrics start out slowly with them as they can snag into the fabric if you happen to pull them through at the wrong angle. Other than that once you get used to them they make threading a snap.

Each needle is very 'thin'. Even though these are supposed to be 'self threading', I think getting the tread into the very small eye of the needle would be difficult. I will be returning. The self treading needles that I currently have are much sturdier with a bigger 'eye'.

I wanted to use these to bury thread in a quilt I am making. I went through 6 needles that all shredded the thread when I attempted to thread the needle. Useless.
