Large, heavy duty, seem quite sturdy. Not used in the field for intended communication project. Interface perfectly with other project parts.

This looks like it will work nicely for a 10 meter vertical dipole. I do not understand how someone can rate this a 1 star and make a comment that it's not a 3/8x24 thread when it clearly states in the description that it is a M10 thread.

Absolutely DO NOT buy this for amateur radio use. Along with one of the sections not being straight, all sections of both collapse further than one may like to see in something that held in place by friction. MOST IMPORTANTLY it's not a 3/8x24 thread.

These whips are sturdy enough for deployment in a VEE shape. I would avoid horizontal placement on the long-term, but they are fine for portable ops in just about any configuration. I machined a sleeve to hold the base for additional robustness--about 3" depth with a swivel to imitate the popular "building block" antenna configuration usually seen. Buddipoles and the like. The finish is an excellent satin nickel. I wiped them down quick with WD-40 to ease deployment and stave off exposure damage. All in all, an excellent solution for portable ham radio, CB radio, or reception by anyone.

Mine came with M10x1.5 threads. I confirmed this by buying an M10x1.5 nut and it fits perfectly. Really wasted money buying the adapter suggested by Amazon. Otherwise the look really well made. Waiting for my M10x1.5 female to 3/8-24 adapter to try out the antenna on my mount.
