This transformer only lasted for 1 year and now rhe screen is blank and nothing works.

I purchased this product in 3/2022 to replace another brand I previously purchased on Amazon because this one is stainless steel and I live near the ocean in FL. I’ve had it set to come on at dusk and turn off at dawn via the integral photocell. A few months ago I noticed the lights were still on at around 9AM. When I got home later that afternoon they were still on. I tried to turn them off by setting the display to OFF and it didn’t work. I unplugged it and had no landscape lighting for a week until I got a chance to try to reset it.When I finally plugged it back in the lights came back on and I was able to set the display to off and the lights turned off. When I set it for the photocell to turn the lights ON and OFF the lights just stayed on. I was finally able to set the lights to come on at 7PM and turn off at 1:30AM, but sometimes they stayed on until 3AM or later then finally turned off.Now they just stay on and the available programs don’t work at all. The display lights up and shows the correct time, but none of the programs work. The lights just stay ON. My last LV landscape transformer worked perfect for 5 years, but the display corroded and the plastic was no longer clear so I couldn’t read it. It still worked the way I set it, but when I added more landscape lighting I needed a transformer with multiple circuit outputs like this one, because I had two separate runs of wire.I’m very disappointed in the longevity of this. The enclosure still looks great and the display is bright and readable, but the programming doesn’t function and it won’t turn OFF.

I really wanted to like this transformer. It appeared to be made well and the features were nice with the different on off settings. I installed the unit and it worked great for 75 days then stopped working. I thought, no problem because it has a "1 Year Warranty". That is where it all started to go south. There isn't a US based phone number to call for help so you are stuck going through Amazon and emailing the China based company for assistance. Their solution, or idea to stand behind their warranty was for me to "find a local repair specialist, pay for the repairs and they would reimburse me". Sorry if I have zero confidence in this process. If that was a legitimate offer you would think that they would have given me the names and locations of the repair specialist in the area and the information on where to submit my claim, which they did not. DO NOT BUY THIS TRANSFORMER! Learn from my mistake, look for a US based company or at least one that has a US based customer support phone number.After 85 days from purchase and after several emails back and forth between myself and the seller, I let them know I could not find a local repair shop any close than 43 miles away and asked for their assistance in finding one, their final solution or offer was: "Dear Customer, We can refund you up to $50 for the cost of the repair. If you still can't accept this, there is nothing else we can do for you."Buyer beware.

Nice product for the money. Need a timer due to the location without sunlight. Also the led screen makes it look fancy. It's been a few days so we'll see if anything goes wrong. Very happy with this purchase.

I added more lighting instruments to my landscape lighting and quickly exceeded the wattage of my original lighting transformer. So, I came to Amazon to hunt for something better that had the power I needed yet remained affordable.This model has been just what I needed and has given me flexibility to add more lights in the future without overtaxing the transformer. That's the good news.The bad news is that this might be the worst owners manual that I have ever come across. It is obviously written by someone (I'm guessing in Chinese) and then poorly translated to English. Some of the features that I wanted to use are buried in some of the menus accessed by additional button pushes. It took me several tries to find the right button push combinations to access some of the functions that I wanted to use. The product itself is solid. The user manual is a mess. That is why I knocked this down to 4 stars.
