Seems really sturdy. The screws that came with it were too short. We switched them out.

Looks nice but didn’t hold up. The latch hinge broke after about 4 months and I had to replace it with a screw. Hopefully the rest holds up.

The world is full of high tech gate locking mechanisms. But, when low tech solutions are called for, such as keeping your dogs in the back yard so they aren't wandering around where they're not supposed to be, this gate lock is perfect. It took my 10 minutes to install, and the benefits of the latch were immediate. If you need a simple solution to keeping a door or gate closed, this is the latch to buy. Plus, the price is right!

Gone through a few latch styles for my gate. This is by far the easiest to use. Install was very easy. Only suggestion would be to add a hole for a lock or pin.

I put this latch on a four-foot-high gate to keep goats out, amazing that the latch was sturdy enough to stop a demanding goat. Enough said
