Ok not the best and stop working shortly after putting in tank. Not really accurate but ok for a visual reminder

Working fine, just that the pH indicator is stuck at the back instead of the front.

It's a must-have if you prefer not to use Strip this the way to go. It works well for me and is accurate too. During Hurricane Marlin, I noticed it changed to green when I had a dead fish in the tank. After I did a water change, it returned to normal. Just remember to give it time to adjust.

I’ve had these both (ph alert and ammonia alert) for around 3 weeks now. Awhile back I tested my ph and it was at 8.0 and that’s exactly what the alert was reading and then tonight, I once again did the API test tube kit tests and as you can see in the pictures the alerts read completely inline with the API tests (I circled each reading in each picture. So ya I’m pretty impressed with them.I can’t say how long they will accurately read for or if they will read accurate for the specific time frames that Seachem claims they will (I will update my review after the allotted time has passed), but as of now I am impressed and fully trust them. Also, they arrived in perfect condition.

Well I wholeheartedly acknowledge that these do not replace the need for regular water quality testing, I can say that I feel that this product is inaccurate. I got these in hopes to water test less, as I was testing every 2 days on my fully stocked African dwarf frog tank. They did not register when my ammonia was at .5 and still said "safe." Not safe at all in my opinion! I thought this would be a good idea because I switched to reverse osmosis water due to the very high nitrates in the tap water, of the farm town I live in. I don't know how anyone else's stocks their aquarium but in my aquarium any level of ammonia is a very bad thing. I do once or twice weekly partial water changes. I was hoping this would help me accurately keep track of any shifts. No dice. It also didn't acknowledge pH shifts for a few days! These are garbage in my opinion.

It works as a quick check between weekly water changes and water parameter checks. its not a replacement for a test kit, but it helps at a quick glance. I had to dose my aquarium with KanaPlex and after 2 rounds of treatment, the AmmoniaAlert showed me my Ammonia was up, granted it showed by 0.05. I checked with my water test kit and found that my levels were up to 1.0. The AmmoniaAlert only shows Ammonia levels in the water, but the water test kit shows a combination of both ammonia and ammonium. I believe that is were the difference in numbers comes from. I could be wrong though, like I said it works as a quick check in between water changes and water checks.

Good quality product however I didn't read it correctly because the PH is for freshwater only. I have a salt water tank and couldn't use the PH monitor. The ammonia monitor works great. Shortly after I put it in my tank my water parameters went all crazy and the monitor turned blue. It was the monitor that saved my critters because I would have not known that my tank was outta wack with out it. I was able to save all my critters and get the tank back to normal quickly when I probably wouldn't have been the wiser with out it. Too bad the PH one wouldn't work.
