This is the 4th pair of Bates boots that I bought All were lightweight I wore the high ones with the side zipper to ride motorcycle and for hunting and all around wear for the past 30 years Bates boots are the mostcomfortable and compare to my nike air monarch sneakers and my sketchers I have been wearing these Bates since I bought them and I can't find any thing that I don't like about them

Great seller, super fast shipping.Sore feet. Length wise it's good, but the heel and arch fit is bad. Ive been swapping and changing inner soles with no avail.At $240 NZ I'm really disappointed.

Length wise, they fit pretty well, and they're pretty comfortable in the footbed. Seem a bit cramped in the toe box and across the metatarsals, but this is an "out of the box" impression, and wearing them around a bit to break them in may improve the comfort level a bit. If these break in and improve with a little wear, I'll come back and up the star a notch. But out of the box comfort wasn't great in the toe and across the top of my foot, so I'm a bit conflicted on them. Will have to give these some time and update after break-in.

These Bates combat boots are rugged, sturdy, yet lightweight. Not heavy when walking.The exterior of these boots feels like a mix of leather and hard rubber.The sizes are accurate. I normally wear 10 1/2 shoes, which leave me with a little extra room. These 10 1/2 boots fit me fine, leaving me with a little extra room.

I wear a 10.5 or 11, depending on the make. Width can be a D or E. I ordered a 10.5 in these because they are supposed to fit accurately. Nope. The 10.5 feels smaller than a size 10. I could get them on, but my toes were smashed from all directions - at least 1/2" too short and also too narrow in the toe. Even without socks they were too small.The part of the sole that wraps onto the toe is not fully adhered. On both shoes it's separating out of the box, so you know it's going to be peeling back after a few weeks and you'll have to try and glue it or cut it off. On a pair of shoes that cost $125?!? I don't think so.
