The magnets didn't hold on to the metal plates very well. If there is even a slight angle to the mating surfaces, the plates meet at an edge and the magnet just doesn't do very much. Luckily, it came with 3, so I just flipped one of the magnet plates, put it on at a 90 degree angle so the middles of the plates hit, and it holds very well now.

I purchased this as a used product at a discount. The adhesive strips did not hold so I super glued the metal plates to a piece of plexiglass to work as a removable door for my printer cabinet which did not come with doors. I had to make a closure/door for the printer cabinet to keep my cats out of the cabinet and away from all the computer cables and surge protectors on the bottom shelf of the cabinet.

Cheap and not the best solution out there. It its for kitchen cabinets that are to remain functional for a long time, I believe better solutions are available.

El producto no era lo que me esperaba, ya que lo utilicé para unir dos puertas de armario que no cerraban. Esperaba que el imán tuviera más fuerza. El sistema usado no fue el mejor método. Al principio quise usar el sistema adhesivo pero se despegaba, y no se me permitía atornillar.

I needed some magnetic door catches for the inside of a little free library I'm building, and these Ainiv Cabinet Magnetic Door Catches turned out to be perfect!They're easy to mount and come with all the necessary hardware, and they work great. Couldn't ask for a better door catch for my outdoor book nook!
