The Cuisinart Infrared & Folding Grilling Thermometer is a simple and effective way to check in on the readiness of your grilled meats and also read the temperature of the cooking surface. The 2-in-1 designed thermometer features a non-contact infrared thermometer and a folding probe thermometer that instantly and accurately measures temperature. It takes a temperature in a little as 2-3 seconds, and is accurate to +/-1 degrees up to 932˚F and can switch ˚C/˚F (probe can read up to 572 ˚F, IR reads up to 932 ˚F) with an easy-to-read backlit LCD screen. A built-in laser gives you the precision to hone in on the exact surface you want to measure, whether it is a pizza stone, grill, or griddle; it will also identify any hot spots on the cooking surface. This thermometer features a foldaway probe design for storage and safety, with an IPX3 water resistance rating, and the Hold button lets you see the temp easier. The calibration function adjusts the instant-read thermometer probe sensor back to the correct accuracy. Great for grilling, simply lock in the current temp when the probe is removed from food and keep the temp displayed. The Cuisinart Infrared & Folding Grilling Thermometer has a clip on the back so you can keep it close by when grilling or smoking.

Excellent product! Easy to use and so fast, it is a very nice upgrade from our last digital cooking thermometer.

Oddly this is made for left handed people. great for lefties i suppose. the infrared sensor is totally off. calibrated thermometer seems off too. just in testing my own body temp i am certain that i am not 110 degrees.

I have bought other cooking thermometers over the years and mostly been disappointed because they turned out to be too complicated or not made well. I love this Cuisinart Thermometer! Finally, something that works the way you expect it to. It's really easy to use, the buttons are obvious so you don't feel like you need a magnifying glass to see what you're doing, and it's fast! If you're looking for a well-made food thermometer that really works and does everything it's supposed to, this is the one!

When I first received and used this thermometer, it seemed to give me believable temp readings, both with meat probe and infrared. Then, it started giving me very low readings, so I searched YouTube for how to calibrate. It did not come with any instructions. So, I followed the instructions, filling a glass with ice and water and pressing and holding the calibrate button. The first thing it did differently from the instructions in the video was it did not display a "C" for calibration. Then, after stirring ice water with the probe, it flashed 32 degrees then immediately went to -54 degrees. I have repeated the directions in Cuisinart video on YouTube and get same results. All temp readings are totally wrong. If you have any suggestions, I would like to hear them. Thank you

I can’t believe how fast it changes. I can take it from a 34° can of beer to a steak and it is always spot on accurate. The infrared is very nice while using the Blackstone also. so far, I definitely recommend this thermometer.

I read the reviews before I ordered it so I had a good idea of what to expect. Yes the pivoting probe could be problematic, so I just keep it extended. I like the IR feature and the temperature readings on both ends are quick and accurate. I do find it a little bulkier than I expected it to be. Overall there is room for improvement, but it’s a good thermometer for my kitchen.

Went to use this yesterday for maybe the 5th or 6th time after having bought it at the beginning of the year and it broke while taking the temperature of egg whites I was trying to temper, noticing that something that was over a double boiler was reading below freezing and ice water was coming in at -57°. I did replace the batteries and attempted to calibrate it several times and nothing fixed it, very frustrating. Thought I was getting a deal, two types of thermometers in one, a good brand generally, way less expensive than the competitors, but I definitely got what I paid for. Going with a different brand to replace it… very disappointed in this Cuisinart product as I normally love their stuff.

This is by far my best, favorite thermometer I've ever owned. It quick reads and also the infrared is amazing. One thing I wish it had was a magnet but other then that flawless.

Worked great until 7 months use when it broke in the swivel part causing a permanent error message. This is after normal household use maybe once or twice a week. Very disappointed as it was priced to last.

The IR thermometer is excellent. In order to use the probe thermometer one needs to pull on the probe to swing it around (it is too stiff otherwise) It broke within 1 year. Opened less than 100 times. Cannot recommend with this major of a flaw
