If you're an avid RV camper or someone who enjoys the flexibility of outdoor cooking, this "Extend a Stay RV Propane Kit" is a must-have addition to your setup. The kit includes 5FT and 12FT propane hoses and a 4-port propane brass tee adapter, making it incredibly versatile and ideal for connecting auxiliary propane cylinders or appliances while camping or RVing.Pros:Ease of Use: The included hoses are the perfect length for flexibility in how you set up your propane connection. The 5FT hose is great for shorter connections, while the 12FT hose gives you the freedom to connect appliances that are farther away from your main propane source. Whether you’re connecting a small grill or an outdoor heater, the hoses provide ample length.Solid Construction: The brass tee adapter and the hoses are made with high-quality materials, ensuring durability and long-lasting performance. I’ve used the system several times now, and it has held up well in different weather conditions and after multiple uses.Convenience: The 4-port brass tee adapter allows you to connect multiple propane appliances simultaneously to a single tank, which is a real game-changer for RVers who need to power more than one appliance (grill, heater, or stove). This reduces the need for switching tanks or running out of propane while you're camping.Secure Connections: The fittings on both the hoses and the tee adapter are solid, ensuring there are no leaks. I’ve had no issues with leakage, which is a big concern when dealing with propane.Compatibility: The kit is compatible with a wide range of appliances, making it suitable for RVs, camping, and other outdoor activities. It’s especially useful if you have an "Extend-a-Stay" system installed in your RV, but it can be used with other propane setups as well.Cons:Bulkier Than Expected: While the kit is extremely functional, it can be a little bulkier than I anticipated. It’s not a dealbreaker, but if you’re tight on storage space, you may need to figure out a good spot to stow it when not in use.No Regulator Included: Some users might expect the kit to come with a regulator, especially for those who aren’t familiar with propane systems. You’ll need to make sure you have a compatible regulator for your appliances, which might be an added cost for some. Conclusion: Overall, the Extend a Stay RV Propane Kit is a high-quality, durable, and incredibly convenient product for anyone who needs to manage multiple propane connections while camping or RVing. The length of the hoses, combined with the versatile 4-port tee adapter, makes it easy to connect multiple appliances. Despite being a bit bulkier and not including a regulator, this kit performs reliably and ensures a secure and safe connection every time. Highly recommended for RV enthusiasts and campers who want to extend their propane use without hassle.

This saves me from having to pack up my motorhome to go get propane. Now I can stay put and fill the auxiliary tank when needed.

It works great. Took a little bit of time. Our Motor Home is older but we got it hooked up. Cold here so we are using it.

As advertised, this kit allows a good multitude of options to provide propane to a couple different devices at once. It great expands the capabilities and enjoyment of camping out with the travel trailer or even tent camping with a single propane cylinder.

The one photo I'll post here is from the listing and is a great visual aid on how to hook this up. It was very easy and yellow teflon tape and the tool for the 1/4" flare connection for the supplemental supply tank are supplied. When used as shown, the (presumably larger) supply tank will use the rig's regulator for its appliances and the 12' appliance hose will connect to the appliance's own regulator. There really shouldn't be much of a need for anything else in order to insert this kit into the existing supply line. Just make sure the connections are tight and use some soapy water to ensure they don't leak when pressurized. The manifold caps have tethers to keep them nearby when using those connections and care should be exercised to avoid losing the caps. The only certifications I could see were on the hoses. The CAN1-8.36 reference is a Canadian standard for propane hoses that defines safety and performance criteria, but detailed content is not publicly summarized and requires access to the official CSA standard documents. The UL 21 is the UL Standard for LP-Gas Hose, defining safety and performance criteria for hoses used to convey liquefied petroleum gas in closed systems and also require access to the associated documents. The stated 350psi maximum working pressure is well within the normal 100-200 psi working pressure for a 100lb tank. One potential issue I see is that when using certain appliances like the Buddy heaters with non approved Buddy supply hoses,-- if the heater is shut off at the appliance, its supply line will remain pressurized. This can cause oil residues to leach from the hose and build up in the lines of the appliance (heater) and cause it to malfunction. One symptom of that with the 18000 BTU heater is that both sides of the heater will not run at their full BTU rating and the pilot light will likely diminish in size and maybe even shut off. There are videos available on how to clean the affected parts. There is no indication that these hoses are approved for Buddy use. Even braided stainless steel lines have rubber internals that can leach oils under pressure. This might be difficult to visualize if you are not a Buddy heater user. If you are, you probably know exactly what I'm referring to.So, some consideration is needed for those intending to use this with the Buddy heaters and similarly affected appliances. Otherwise, adding a larger tank to augment your rig's propane supply to extend a stay is relatively simple.
