My old 2000 Ford F-150 truck, the 5.4 V8 engine does ok, but it'll never be a high performer. Even throwing money into it would be more than the truck is worth.But the sound...just switching to this Flowmaster, the truck sounds mean, sounds modded, people think I have a cam and headers and more in some tricked-out high horsepower engine.This muffler really does sound sweet on the Ford "modular" V8 engine.Gas mileage:First - this muffler doesn't add horsepower or change gas mileage.However, I truly think I get worse gas mileage simply because I like listening to the engine, so I'll be into the throttle slightly more when driving.

Awesome sound quiet aggressive sound. Package was a little beat up in shipping. And the performance swag stickers got wrecked in the box. Ok product though.

2015 Jeep jkuI had this installed where the original resonator was located. I also bought a Magnaflo splitter and have duel exit at rear bumper. It is fairly loud, but not obnoxious or police irritating. It gurgles, pops, back revs and rumbles. At idle and slow acceleration (manual tranny) it sounds close to a v8. Revving sounds high pitched like a small displacement foreign v8. There is a drone, but it can be shifted around and avoided with driving style. I really like the sound. I run a soft top all year and do not find this muffler too loud. I would recommend it.

Super fast shipping! Ordered it on a Monday which was a holiday, and it can Wednesday at 10am. Also this muffler sounds good. Sounds very aggressive and will make your car sounds fast and expensive. Very good. Definitely will buy more for future cars.

This is nowhere near as loud as i expected, the sound it puts off is nice and smooth, but i wanted an "Aggressive" sound. I'm not going to take it off, but if i would have known, i wouldn't have purchased it. A friend of mine also has the 40 series and his rumbles smooth but significantly louder than mine. Maybe it needs to be broken in a little, I'm not sure, but I am slightly disappointed in this so far.
