Worked very well to splice an outdoor power cable for a septic system lift pump. The box is left above ground under a fake rock, so I have not tested the weatherproofing as well as some other applications might.

I needed to cut and re-route speaker wire to a deck, there was almost no slack in the wire. This box allowed me to do a perfect in-line splice and box seems very well constructed and should protect well against the elements.

I had no problems with this product. Other reviews commented about the screws stripping. They are #4 size screws, so I used a small Phillips #1 bit and got them fully inserted without stripping. I was also a bit nervous that my 12/4 underground speaker wire (19mm) wouldn't fit, but the largest ring was snug but easy to slip over the outer jacket. 4 connections with wire nuts would have been tight, but it worked great with heat shrink tubing. The supplied flat head screwdriver is wasteful since the screws are Phillips head. Supplying a #1 Phillips head screwdriver would be a better idea. Would recommend and purchase again.

Used this to replace my pool light without pulling a new cable so it will be submerged forever. I soldered the connections and then filled the box with a pourable silicone. Normally you have to pull the old cable (mine is 100ft) out but after 20 years it is almost impossible to break it loose and pull the new one through. The best price I found was $250 for the labor.Way easier and cheaper to use this j-box but if it fails it'll ruin a $500 light. Works great so far but just installed April 2024. I'll update this if there is any problem.

Great compact junction box. I loved it.The only fault is that the (Philps) (star shape) screw heads strip when you tighten them down. The screws supplied for the jonction box cover are super cheap. I replaced them.

I needed a waterproof junction box to use in conjunction with a sprinkler control line repair. The junction box was perfect for my needs. I was impressed with the seals and overall quality of the junction box until I came to screwing the lid on the box. The manufacturer included the cheapest screws I've ever seen. One of the screws lacked slots in the head and was useless! My recommendation to the manufacturer is to get rid of the cheap screwdriver included and spend the money on higher-quality screws.

Pretty much a no brainer on how to setup and use this item.My only 2 cons would be that it is a chore to get a larger style cable (power cord) thru the sealing rings and into the box and I wish that were or was another mounting method.
