This functions really well with the range of heights it can do. I have a few different portafilters, each of which has a different style "neck" and requires a different height in order for a product like this to work. It's a solid little piece of equipment- nicely machined and finished and easy to operate. Heavy enough to not flop over when you put a heavy portafilter into it. Big fan!

LIQO bottomless would not fit. The handle groove is too short.

This makes tamping flat and consistent. Highly recommend it.

I'm giving this 4 stars because it is a quality product and it works as described (well, mostly), but I'm not sure most people will want it as currently designed. If you are able to use it as intended, you may consider it 5 stars, but I'm not clear who will.5 star perspective first: This stand is heavier than I expected when I ordered (that's a good thing). It has a very solid and sturdy feel. The portafilter sits right in, you adjust the handle support height once, and you have a solid base for tamping. I've tried a couple similar products that were not quite as heavy and the adjustment wasn't as firm -- it tended to loosen over time. This one has none of those problems. And don't take "solid and sturdy" to mean it doesn't look good. It has a lot of nice design touches (like the champfered top edge) that combine CNC accuracy with a nice matte black finish. It is an attractive, albeit somewhat expensive, piece of kit to add to your espresso routine. My one issue with the description is it is listed as 'non-slip'. The bottom is smooth aluminum and slides easily. I suspect they meant "during tamping" and I do agree it is stable when pressing straight down. Ignoring those, very minor, points it is a high quality product.'But is it 5 stars for you?' perspective: If you're looking at this to get rid of those unsightly silicone mats and both modernize and clean up the look of your espresso setup, this stand may be for you. But it raises your tamping height ~3.5" - something many people may find uncomfortable. I'm over 6' and use a palm tamper (IE it is shorter than a standard tamper) and this sets up higher than I really like. I originally wanted to use this as a grind stand for my DF64: drop in portafilter, place under grinder, grind, pull out, WDT, tamp -- Done! But unfortunately it is not height adjustable so it is too tall. Their listing claims 'height adjustable', but I realize now they are only referring to adjusting the portafilter handle support height. Whether that last applies to your grind setup or not, I couldn't guess. But it does highlight that I wish they had made the stand shorter and/or adjustable. They could easily reduce it by 12mm -- and likely another 10+ by refining the design. I'm afraid a lot of people may like the idea of this product, but not love actually using it on a daily basis.

I mean its ok, I would not buy this again. There are better options in my opinion. It is not a bad product though

I was drawn to this portafilter holder for my daily espresso tamping since the removable adapter let it work with both my 54mm Breville portafilters and my Flair 58mm portafilter (and all my baskets). It's built solidly, keeps my portafilters stable, withstands tamping pressure, does not slip, and keeps my coffee station much cleaner. It is not too heavy either. I'm also happy that this holder is easy to clean, and it takes up very little counter space.
