I purchased this adapter kit so that I could use my Lee graduated ND filters with my Kase Revolution filter kit. It works well with a single ND grad in the holder.

During a webcast about the eclipse this item was mentioned. When totality comes, you want to be able to quickly remove your filter and then quickly put it back on at the end of totality. This adapter makes that possible. If you have any filter that you need to put on and remove frequently in a short period of time, you need this. For general filter use this may not be that useful. It it one of those 'when you need it you need it' items.

I'm not sure which brands this ring is supposed to be compatible with, but none of my other filters seem to stick to it.

with this DIY adapter, I can easily convert my normal thread filters to magnetic filters that work with the Kase magnetic system. I also added another base adapter to my H&Y revoring, in that way, I can also quick-swap filters to almost any lens I have.However, keep in mind that after adding the adapter, the filter won't work for those super wide lenses because there will be dark corners.
