So some minor negatives out of the way, some may not appreciate the packaging - these essentially came in a cheap bag, kind of folded up. The other slightly off-putting element is that there's a bit of a spray paint smell that wears off after you walk around in these for a couple hours.With the bad out of the way, I actually very much enjoy these overall. The most appealing feature to me is the breathability, and this excels quite nicely at that, with two small, screened holes along the sides, and generally lighter-weight material where it makes sense to have it (such as the "tongue" of the boot). While feeling pretty snug, there is a bit of space within them to allow air to "breathe" through the boots as you walk, which is excellent.As just mentioned, I also appreciate that the tongue of these boots isn't a super thick piece of leather, it's more of a durable mesh kind of material - so often do boot tongues get wedged up against my ankle. They are generally true to size. I'm slightly worried that the laces may not stand the test of time, but will update this review if so. The toe, while not being a steel reinforced toe, is actually quite strong and confidence inspiring - I feel comfortable wearing these while doing a firewood run in the mountains, or doing a minor DIY home improvement project. I haven't tested these out doing anything "tactical" but can imagine that the soles will wear down more quickly if running across pavement every day.Keeping in mind that these are currently listed at a near fifty asking amount, I'd say this is a nice value. These work better than similarly priced motorcycle shoes I've reviewed, while providing a bit more ankle cover (but of course, not providing the impact resistance you'd find on motorcycle shoes in the hundreds of dollars range). They may not last as long as some established brands for multiples of dollars higher, but they could easily last a couple years of normal, weekend use.

I was so shocked when these boots arrived at my doorstep not in a shoebox but tightly wrapped together using some protective material and tape. The package was small and the boot uppers were rolled down so I had no idea what the item was that I was about to unbox. When I initially opened the package it smelled strongly of rubber (assuming it is from the rubber soles of the boot) and to this day (3 weeks later) they still have a faint rubber smell to them.The boots themselves seem to be pretty high quality although they are a bit thin. The canvas upper is nice and allows a lot of flexibility of the ankles yet is light weight and breathable. The bottom half of the shoe is made using leather and rubber for the soles. I will say that one complaint I have is that for "tactical boots" the shoelaces provided are pretty cheap feeling and seem like they would fall apart easily. Luckily that is easy to replace.The pair are light weight on the feet and very comfortable to me. The toe box has some type of rigid material that can potentially prevent toe crushing although it is nothing like a steel-toe and can get crushed easily without too much pressure. Nice add-on nonetheless. There are two vented holes on the inside facing exterior of the shoes which could be good for breathability but they are placed really low on the boot and I can definitely see water or mud seeping through those holes.Overall these are nice lightweight tactical looking boots for the price. I like the added hardened toebox and they feel nice on the feet. I think these would be great for light duty use out on the field or as a fashion statement but I would not use these to treck any specialized terrains.
