I've had a lot of arcade controls over the years, including an X-Arcade Tankstick that still works perfectly after 20 years. Don't be dissuaded by all of the people who say it needs upgraded controls, new out of the box this is a very good arcade stick. For the price, it's an excellent arcade stick. This is weighted so it doesn't slide around during normal use. It's got great settings to change the USB protocol so it's compatible with a wide range of devices. I'm currently using it as a arcade stick for my Sega Genesis with a Brook adapter to use USB controls with original Genesis consoles. It even works great like that.

Great stick. Works perfect for MVC2 and I don't go gentle on it. You can fly refly, rim infinite with ease on switch/pc android flycast.Parts are easily accessible to change out. I was able to change the stick to a mass stick. Would buy again.

I got this as an entry level first fighting stick as I've never owned or used one. It's very mod-able and easy to unscrew the bottom and take it apart with a normal Philips screwdriver. If you want to use it as is though it is very cheap and noisy with it's buttons creeking and joystick clicking. I was worried it would actually be too big as I have a small desk but it fits on it perfectly and I can also use it in my lap if I want.

Purchased this so I could use it on Marvel vs Capcom collection for the switch. I can use the stick on the menu screen for switch but it does nothing in the game. On top of that the a and b buttons are swapped. I have reached out to tech support and have yet to hear back. If they get back to me and we find a solution I will update this review.

I've been a fan of fighting games for 10+ years, and during all this time, I always played on controller. From Mortal Kombat to Street Fighter, and making a debut on Tekken 8 for the first time, the d-pad was never an issue. However, after watching some videos, you can't stop but wonder how the experience on arcade stick would be... and to get itch off, you should definitely get this one:1. Affordable: If you look at the big brands, you won't get a stick for less than $150.2. Quality: It feels sturdy, the built is solid and the buttons feel great. The only down sight is that is has a matte finish, so get ready to wipe those marks.3. Accessibility: Plug and play! (at least if you're on PC). The stick even comes with a type-c adaptor! If it's your first time getting a stick (like myself), there is going to be a small learning curve, especially when it comes to movement, but it's both fun and satisfactory to learn it.In short: a 10/10 product. Couldn't be happier!

This stick works great. I am trying it on my PC and works great. One thing makes annoyed is that there input type, etc is complicated and there is no clear manual about it. Games download from Steam has also different input style, so I guess part of it is because of that, but still complicated to have working input

Can injure your hands after long sessions of playing, to be exact first dorsal interosseous muscle, and when you lean your wrist on it, the problems to point out are the height of the unit and the joystick itself, also there’s a big gap between the joystick and the microswitches which can cause a huge delay for the movements, also there’s not enough space on the left side of the joystick which make using it very very uncomfortable because you can’t fully rest your other fingers while holding the stick, I consider them both the unit and the joystick are bad quality, and I would highly NOT recommend

My opinion rests on the fact that this stick is $45- it's a cheap and serviceable way to figure out whether you like arcade sticks. If you do, you can upgrade pretty much every part, which you'll basically have to do. As a stick, it's... fine, I guess? Maybe better for fighters, but I'm going through a whole phase with arcade shmups and run-and-guns. The stock stick is more enjoyable than any pad controller I've used, and it's been a lot of fun with Metal Slug and OutZone, but with Truxton or Raiden I'm slapping the bajeezus out of the stick trying to defeat its long throw in time to dodge incoming fire- with less than rewarding results. So, take this stick for what it is. It's cheap and it works consistently and reliably. If you like it, you can buy nicer buttons or a lever that suits you better. At this price, you can take your time and Lynyrd Skynyrd your way to a completely different stick while having fun the whole way. (That'd be replacing one part at a time until there aren't any original parts.)

If you own a Mac, this is THE arcade stick for you. Works perfectly straight out of the box: plug it in, configure your controls in your emulator, and play. Didn't have to download anything, didn't have to fiddle with anything to get my Mac to recognize it. I'm so happy. The controller itself seems well-made. Joystick is very satisfying because it's not too sensitive or too stiff. Nice sturdy plastic. And it makes a nice soft satisfying clicking noise. The controller as a whole has enough weight where it won't be moving all over the place while you're playing. Not a huge fan of the buttons though. They're not very satisfying because they don't get pushed down very far. I find myself often accidently pressing RT/R2 because that's where I let my pinky rest. So, maybe a bit too sensitive. Also the controller was just a little dirty when it was arrived. No big deal though.I'm so happy with this controller.

I’m not an expert on Joysticks, but I learned a lot when trying to purchase the right one. First I got a Hori Fighting Stick Mini, but it did not improve gameplay for Pac-Man 99. That’s because it has a square joystick gate, leaving the joystick open to any position, which makes it difficult to understand that your position is strictly in one of the four cardinal directions.I found out about joystick gates, and understood the Hori wouldn’t be a good choice for me since the gates are not swappable like the Mayfair is. The Mayfair has a square gate preinstalled, but comes with an octagonal. After installing the octagonal gate, my game improved substantially so that it surpassed the control of my thumbstick. I then bought a four-way restrictor gate, which restricts the joystick movement to a diamond shape, and the control improved even more.Since I have nothing to compare it against, I cannot gauge how well this joystick controls next to more expensive models, but I am more than happy with this. Since the joystick and buttons can be swapped out for Sanwa parts, I’m sure the control’s quality can be right up there with more expensive joysticks. The box is extremely solid and the weight of it works fine for me.
