Nice phones, but unfortunately there's a known issues with Google Voice for Workspace. Poly is working on a fix, but it wasn't ready before the return window expired, so I had to return these and buy the Poly Edge B30 phones instead. Not as nice, but they actually work.

The product is used as a desk phone, exclusively (for now) for Google Voice (Enterprise). You need to follow the instructions as per Google, flashing the firmware in order to be able to use. Just bear in mind that, upon doing so, you can no longer log into the admin interface, which is then locked off by Google. Not a biggie, as there are settings you should not be messing with unless you really know what you are doing. Was hoping for a little bit more functionality which was stripped away but maybe I have not spend enough time playing with the item. Solid desk phone, nice to the touch. I could have just stick with the browser use of GV; this phone gives me options. Second, as soon as number portaging is opened up here in Canada, I will do so with other numbers we have both for personal as well as business purposes, saving money. All told, I do think the unit is a bit pricey, possibly could have gotten away with the VVX150 OBI version, but decided to buy the 'next one up' for future proofing purposes. NOTE: if you are intending to use a VVX phone for GV purposes, make sure it's the OBI version you get. Some product descriptions are better than others; I made the mistake of initially buying a regular version of this phone, which didn't work with GV (my bad, a hurried buy decision as opposed to reading properly)

I ordered this phone to work on Google Voice. When I got the phone it was locked up to Dial Pad. I contacted Diap Pad to unlock it and they refused. The seller advertises compatibility with Google Voice but the phone is locked up to Dial pad. I will be returning it. Do not buy this phone from this seller. It is not unlocked.

I purchased three of these phones along with a VVX 350 for a client. Setting them up with FreePBX was a bit challenging, but in the end we got a very nice phone system for handling calls in a small business.

Polycom is known for their speakerphones and this does not disappoint. I have no complaints with this phone at all.

I have bought several of these phones for my office staff. They have all connected wirelessly through Googlevoice through G-Suite without really any issue. You sometimes have to reboot, but other than that I'm satisfied. I did buy the wireless dongle and power cord separately. Wireless works great!

I am not a tech guy. I bought this phone in anticipation of using the paid Voice service in Google's GSuite. GSuite Voice seriously lacks fuctionality at this point. When provisioning the phone for Google, you first need to buy an Obi edition phone with the Obi firmware, then Google downloads their proprietery firmware onto the phone, overwriting and killing much of the functionality of the Obi firmware and thus the phone, including some very basic features one would expect. Since GSuite Voice didnt fit my needs, I sought to go with another VoIP provider. That means the Obi firmware has to be swapped out for UC firmware.Polycom says you can replace the Obi firmware with their UC firmware, and include in their knowledge base instruction to do so, but the instructions dont work. I tried to contact Polycom, but they offer no support other than their ineffective knowledge base answers. If you try to call their support, they tell you that they cannot help you becasue you are not a reseller. Very frustrating and a gigantic waste of time.
