good string but not durable at all. when outer casing fries it renders string bed unusable. had to restring after 2 games

Tennis strings are always going to be personal and longevity based on hitting style. That said, I was going through most 17 gauge strings in 2 or 3 matches. I switched to the Biphase 16G and get at least 5 or 6 matches now. I love the feel almost as much as 17G, but the longer life is worth a slight compromise.

I use this string in a hybrid (as crosses). After less than 6 hours of hitting, the string is at the breaking point. Its possible the mains (Black Code) are abrating the X-One, but my son who hits much bigger and with much more spin has far less abrassion using RPM in the mains and NXT in the crosses. This string may be great for a lighter hitter and for someone who doesn't hit with spin, but I'm switching immediately to either NXT or NRG in the crosses.

Like many of the other reviews, I LOVE this string, but it won't survive more than 10-12 hrs of play. The feel is exquisite; cups the ball very nicely, great communication back to the handle, easy on the arm/shoulder. I play a Wilson Clash 100, 50lbs tension. I hoped going with 16ga versus 17ga would improve the durability; no such luck.If you want to spoil yourself for a short time (big tournament/USTA league play), go ahead and splurge...otherwise,stick with a cheaper multi string for less $$
