What can I say? This is well designed, simple yet effective for nice tremolo effect. Super smooth and huge improvement over stock fender trem bridge. Incredibly smooth, just follow the instructions for an ez install. Brilliant!

Since I can’t give lower than 1 star, I will give a few good points before the bad.Pros:- easy and fast to install and set up- made the tone of the guitar come alive- has a great feel- looks good- great range.Cons:- constantly slid left to right (very standard setup, 10-46 strings, normal springs etc), which when not sliding it would hold rock solid tuning, but when sliding no.- string breaker….before installing this I could count on one hand how many strings I broke in 40+ years of playing. I broke 2 in less than 12 hours. No burrs or anything found…just poor design- intonation/action adjustment feels like screws will stripFor a trem that cost more than the best Floyds out there I expected perfection, and I really wanted to like it because of how it looked, felt and sounded, and the tuning stability, until it slid. So close to a perfect design, that if they could fix the 2 HUGE issues, this trem would be on every guitar. Until then, no thank you!

Easy to install! Smooth action both ways!I don't know if you can go full Vai on it, but, with locking tuners in place it seems to hold tuning really well! I tried about 10 full dive bombs...stays in in tune; but pulling it up may affect tuning (which is more so due to tuners). Definitely recommend! However, it would've been great if they had added a more detailed manual on how to adjust the action!Good thing there is youtube for everything. First, loosen the intonation screw - the big screw on the saddle which holds the saddle in place. Then, you can tweak smaller screws to raise the action.

I have every reason to believe that this will be an amazing bridge (I will update again once it's installed). It seems like a solid build and feel, and the bar fits tightly with a teflon bushing and no slop or slack. That being said I got the black bridge and in the short time I've owned it after taking it out of the package and doing a test fit before painting my strat body, it's already showing paint wear from handing with bare hands and not coming in contact with any hard or sharp surfaces other than maybe a fingernail. The paint is rubbing off on the bridges sharp edges and the rough part of the block. The kit (it was factory sealed and in new condition) also didn't include set screws on the bridge block to lock the springs. One of the first things shown on the installation video was how to lock the spring to the bridge block with the set screw. Lastly it had a sticker on the trem arm telling you to keep it lubed, but it didn't include lube for the arm or the knife edge contacts of the bridge, both of which are sold for extra $ on the Vega Trem website. I think this will be a fantastic bridge and function wonderfully, and the seller shipped promptly through Amazon. It possibly deserves a 5 star review for tone and function (as I said, I'll update on the performance once installed) as everyone raves about the feel and range of the bridge, but I'm giving it 3 stars for my disappointment in the finish quality and that it's missing the set screws. I might also mention, I emailed VT and have yet to get a response about the missing parts. If you buy one of these bridges plan on picking up some metric 3x3 grub screws for the block, and maybe a few 3x5 for the saddles so if you need to adjust them low they're not poking the palm of your hand when bridge muting. Also, maybe reconsider getting black if you don't like "relic" guitars, as I'm sure the chrome or satin finish would hold up better. I hope my bar doesn't get all chipped up.... This is one of the most expensive bridges you can get, so I'm somewhat disappointed in it for the price.

I was anxious about this purchase at first. I have a 2006 Standard Stratocaster and the tremolo has always felt to stiff and a real pain to setup to float.A friend was talking to me about different tremolos and mentioned the Vega Trem.It was an expensive upgrade but I’m liking the difference with my guitar. Being able to dive and pull back is what I wanted and it delivers.Very easy to install and setup on my MiM Strat. It took me longer to remove the old bridge than to install this. The saddles out of the box are setup a little flatter than the 9.5 radius on my guitar. A couple of adjustments and it’s good. Stayed in tune after doing some dives and pull-ups to.I highly recommend going on YouTube to get some instructions to install it.

Tried to cancel my order but Amazon did not allow it. I was afraid of all the horrible reviews I've seen. Just received it an hour ago, sealed in a bag, but with both factory seals broken. I've received once again a used unit from Amazon. Nice!Fingerprints on the bridge and parts. I love other people fingerprints on my new products that I paid fully. This is like old wine... Screws look new. Checked the bridge screws, all of them, none stripped, but one had some heavy dirt so it would not work properly. I've cleaned it. Probably was used in a coal mine. The arm comes with a glued label on the insertion rod, so you can't take it off with just your hands, so I've used an exacto knife managing to avoid cutting one of the under-label o-rings. How poor design, no thought about anything. Well let's give it some credit, it comes from Europe. Label says to lube the inserted rod, but no lube comes with the Vega-Trem. What kind of lube people, liquid or gel...in North America we like to use the correct products. It doesn't matter, can be KY I assume. Why didn't you just cap it with a rubber cap with some lube inside? No, we have to use our brains to figure out what the designer intent was. I guess it is from Spain so some heavy lube that survives 50C should be used.Anyways my original review was 2 stars, but I've used it now for a couple of weeks and can say that it is smooth and works well. Not a bad product, leaving aside getting a used unit. Not sure if it is better than a Pro Am Fender tremolo taht is $200 or a rail FR that is $400, but I do enjoy using it. Regarding other reviews saying that the long slots in the bridge tab attached to the guitar body are a problem, yes, the tremolo unit will travel in time in the direction of the Hi E or Low E depending on the direction of the tremolo springs and where they are leaning to. It is not a great design but I do see the additional flexibility of slightly moving the claw location and have the tremolo unit travelling in the direction where your strings are in good alignment with your neck. A stopper screw will resolve this issue, but once again this is made in Europe and they know better than we do. This is not something that novices would be able to adjust, so you may get infuriated because you don't know what is happening and why your bridge is sliding in one direction or another. That is why this tremolo can use only 2 springs, otherwise the tremolo block will travel on the slots uncontrollably. Regarding the stripped screws... you need to think a bit when you adjust the intonation but it can be done by a regular fellow. Not as easy to adjust as a Fender or FR bridge, so nontech people may have a problem. For those people I recommend contacting their luthiers. Anyways I'll buy another Vega tremolo today, and hope that after all this free advertising Vega will send me a free one... No? What a surprise. Well, at least a new unit so you would not have to give me a discount after all. Amazon, can you get me a new product for a change? Also, I am still waiting for the previous 10% for the last used used unit you gracefully sent me with love.

Real bad quality!1. The low e string will stick out, it’s really hard to make the string to go through2. Trem bar broken when I got it3. You need lock the spring with these small screws, but this one doesn’t fit. Once you put the spring in, u can never put screw in.
