I like Ball canning jars. I don’t can food or put up preserves but I have been ordering and using them for food storage along with several stainless steel canisters. Part of my ongoing process to get rid of my 40+ year old (probably toxic) Tupperware.My grandmother used Ball canning jars and as far as I am concerned they are an excellent product. The metal lids with the band fit these jars perfectly. Since I am not canning and just using the jars for food storage I won’t be using those. The plastic lids are either a little too small or else they don’t properly line up with the jars.I find that I have to make several attempts to get them to screw on evenly.The problem I have is only with this particular size. I have purchased 2 other sizes and the plastic lids fit perfectly.

I love these jars for keeping dry cat food! I keep them in a cabinet safe from light & the food stays very fresh!

Exactly what I was looking for to make homemade yogurt. They also came with two sets of lids, metal and plastic.

I wanted mason jars with plastic lids to make my overnight oats or chia pudding. These work well, with room to spare to shake ingredients. Dishwasher safe is a bonus.
