I bought a wii online only to realize my tv didn't have any components cable ports. I searched on and off for a day or 2 and wasn't convinced that any of the 3rd party wii to hdmi converters would actually work, who knows when they all look identical except for a company name and they're 12-30$ with no way to tell what the difference is. I finally settled on this one, ultimately kind of randomly and lucked out because it actually works. It's not amazing in any way, but it actually works, and I was half sure it was going to be scam junk.In short: looks like chinese knockoff junk but actually does work. Only 4 stars because I'm still worried it might die on me unexpectedly...

I bought this to hook up our Wii to a TV that only had HDMI inputs. Although it doesn't upscale the image (or at least I can't figure out how to), it does work great. No issues with having it work through HDMI on an HD tv.
