As I wrote in a review of the coffee machine, this filter needed replacing after 1 month brewing 2 cups twice daily using fridge dispenser filtered water. I replaced the filter for a new one and better again. That is quite an ongoing expense, so I tried submerging the original clogged filter in vinegar, then a long soak in filtered water and it seems clear of mineral deposits. I will alternate the two filters until this cleaning no longer works, requiring a new filter once monthly.

I purchase this filter regularly for our Zojirushi coffee maker. It's a perfect fit, but sometimes it is difficult to remove.

We’ve had our Zojirushi coffee maker for years. It continues to be reliable, and I’ve learned this filter is part of that reliability. All you have to do to see it working is to remove it from the machine to see the calcium deposits it’s collected. I’ve pushed its limits at times, tapping it on the counter to knock the deposits loose, but I know that’s not best. So I continue to replace them when I see the deposits, getting larger and more numerous. A very simple, well designed product.

I really like this filter. It lasts a year, gets rid of any water impurities and makes your coffee taste better. The price is right.

I think the recommendation is to replace this Zojirushi filter every two years.I just did that and learned something important.The coffee flavor improved noticeably.I now recommend changing this filter at least yearly.Perfect product as well.

My coffee maker died so I went back to a manual pour through. I drink 2 cups in the morning before work. After a month of great coffee I got tired of the time it took. I wanted a maker that exactly mimicked what I was doing. It was important to me that the coffee that splashed up in the process didn't contact the water exit area, as that negatively impacts the flavor of the pour through and is hard to clean. This maker solved that problem. Note that you really have to remove the basket before pouring OR wait a few minutes longer if you don't want the wet grounds to shift and get in your cup. I find it simply perfect and a good value compared to those much more expensive full size automatic pour through machines. The charcoal filter is a nice touch and I purchased a spare to use down the road.
