Easy Installation
- Drill out the rivits holding the pivot assembly to the ladder frame;
- Remove the old attic ladder hinge arms;
- Install our new attic ladder hinge balance arms with fitting parts.(NOTE : Springs are not included.)
- Note: You need two people to install it, and you need strong arms if one person is installing it.

These hinges look exactly like the one we're replacing on our old Werner attic ladder.They're strong metal and have sufficient offset so that nothing is grinding together as you open/close the ladder.It comes with hardware, but I didn't really need any of it. Still, it was nice to be able to change it out to new hardware. In our case I also needed springs, so I bought those separate.They're 100% correct when they say you need two people. Springs scare me, so I never work on them alone or without all the necessary safety stuff. Luckily these are alot smaller than the garage door springs, but still worth taking care.

This attic hinge arm is perfect for the repairs we need to our attic stairs! Our stair hinges had been bent for years and are not feeling safe to use. This also seemed to strengthen our folding ladder. It definitely reinforced it. This is made of zinc that feels durable.Not sure what else I can say about these, but if you need one, this is definitely one you should consider!Just so you know, this review is from an impartial opinion.
