I had a string hanging down from by attic, and I hated having ti get a chair or ladder to reach it everytime I need to enter the attic. Not only does this look better than the string hanging from the ceiling, but its also much more convenient. I was worried that the hook rod wouldn't be strong enough to pull my attic down, as it takes quite a bit of force, but so far it has worked great. I couldn't be happier with it.
