First off, the instructions are terrible. I'll attach a picture. The steps seem good. Then the problems start w the handrail. The bolts are tight. So you have to use a trend to tighten them up. That scratches the black tube, which will then expose the metal which eventually will rust. It will take you 30 minutes to get these screwed in. But don't bother. First, the bolt holes don't match the holes on the handrail. And with the added thickness of the handrail, the bolts are not long enough to screw in the nuts. The handrail is a total disaster w the hardware that came w the steps. I'll buy longer bolts, and eventually redrill the holes to line up. Good luck w this product.

I fish a lot alone. When loading the boat I have to drive on the trailer and then get down it front and hook and crank. Then get back up on the boat to shut off motor and raise. What a difference as opposed to crawling on and off the front versus just stepping. I’m in my 60’s and still very active. But not having to crawl up and down is great. Install is easy.

Ordered this for a lund boat trailer with a swing away hitch. The main steps are pretty solid but the bottom step is just for decoration. Anything more than a toddler would bend it down. Pretty easy to figure out the installation but the instructions are useless. There was extra hardware after it was installed - not even sure necessarily what it was for. Should have spent the money elsewhere........

Easy to assemble and install. The bottom step feels a little weak. But all in all a nice purchase for the price.

These boat stairs and pole arrived 3/5/25. Cost $189. Installed couple days later. Used maybe 5 times by female weighing 170lbs. The POLE BROKE OFF 4/11/25! Listed to be heavy duty up to 500lb capacity. Stairs without the pole is useless. The return date closed 4/4/25!!! One picture attached shows how thin metal is and how quick rusted.
