Dial works better because no battery needed, one less thing to worry about. This is straight forward , put it on and start cranking to see the compression. Good price point and very handy carrying case. Only tried on Camry so far but pretty sure other adapters will work on other modes just the same

Gave me a reading of 50 psi, returned it and bought a more expensive one, gave me 140 psi, you get what you pay for. Don't go cheap.

I just recently used this tool on my car about 2 months ago. It worked better than I thought it would and it helped me diagnose the issue with my engine and I now know that I have to buy a new engine or a new car due to low compression from my piston rings. This is a great tool for a do-it-yourself type person all you need to do is watch a few YouTube videos and you can do it all by yourself.
