Worked perfect

It doesn't work at all. I ran my grill for about 2 hrs set to 325 and it never once got up to temp. The fan would not kick on at all. I understand that it says that the fan will kick off when it gets up to temp, but like I said it never got up to temp. The only time the fan would kick on is when I changed the temp setting. It would run for roughly 10 seconds and then completely stop.

This was easy to replace and works great. It does turn the fan off and on unlike the original but does hold the temperature very well and the shutdown cycle works great.

My original unit was WIFI, this is not. I was aware before buying, but the Camp Chef app was garbage anyway. The stock panel knob failed. This one feels more solid. The cycling is different: the blower fan turns off completely when at temp. I found that I use far less pellets, my assumption is they burn slower without the fan. Temperature is also more stable. Setup was a bit of a chore, the wires at first seemed to be the wrong color, and difficult figure out. I found that my old wires were discolored. Looking under a zip tie, I could see they were a match. I recommend swapping wire connectors one at a time to avoid confusion. One socket is in a different spot on the card. Other than initial installation confusion, it works better than the stock panel, if you can live without WIFI, this is a great unit.

Just got mine installed and it was an easy install. The only thing to be aware of is. The fan will cycle if you use a temperature setting with a smoke setting. The PID tries to regulate the temp by cycling the fan on and off. THIS IS NORMAL. It is how it controls the heat from the pellets. If you use a "Low smoke" or "High Smoke" setting the fan will run continuously. Just so everyone knows it is not a bad controller if this happens.

First one wouldn’t provide enough power to hot rod to fire off pellets. Seller replaced it cross-shipped so I was back in business 2 days later. The 2nd one works fine so far and it seems to hold temps as well,or maybe slightly better than OEM controller
