This is a good thermometer replacement, fit only for Bull Grills. The size of the thermometer will most likely not fit on other brands. Good quality and easy to install.

Easy fix at half the price. 6 weeks in and the glass is starting to cloud up. This is what happened to original after 3 years. Seems a little too soon for this one to be failing. Maybe half the price means half the life or less.

My BBQ Grill is only a few years old, but just recently the needle on the temperature gauge came loose. I began looking around and found this Outspark BBQ Grill Thermometer replacement. The measurements matched my old thermometer, though the mode of attachment was a bit different. It required me drilling a couple of holes in order to mount the new device. It does mount securely with two nuts and two lock washers. All in all it took me about 10 minutes to remove the old one, drill, then install the Outspark. I immediately heated up the grill and found the gauge to be very responsive. I was able to adjust the flame to a steady 360 degrees, something I haven't been able to do confidently for a while. The Outspark is well made, very solid and with a probe that extends down into the grill area for a more accurate reading. I would highly recommend this as a replacement thermometer.

Arrived today, and seems to be working correctly. Would have graded higher, but it only came with one threaded post on the back (looks like the 2nd not installed at the factory. NOTE: this is Bull P/N 16690, aka the standard thermometer that fits in a bezel. Dimensions are 2.4" diameter, screws on 1.5" centers. If you need the bigger one, check P/N 16509.

My boyfriend has used and owned several gas grills over the years. He’s a Mr. Fix It and can repair almost anything around the house. If a grill burner needs replacing, he’ll order the correct part and install it, himself. Last year, he finally took the plunge and invested in a higher quality grill. I showed him this Outspark BBQ Grill Thermometer Replacement for All Bull Grills that recently became available. He told me to order it for replacement parts he’ll need in the future to keep his investment grilling in tip top condition. We both scanned the fine print to look for "Angus" in the long list of Bull models and quickly ordered this Outspark thermometer.When I opened the box to photograph it, I knew something was wrong. It appeared too small for our Bull grill. I took measurements and found a diameter of about 2 3/8" and almost a 2-inch probe. When i showed it to my boyfriend, he said it was definitely not big enough to cover the oval edges of the slot in which the thermometer is screwed into our Angus Bull grill's lid. I took a photo to try to show this, but the image is skewed because of the refection from the top of the lid. Also, our own Bull thermometer's inner probe stuck 2" out of the hole and didn't allow me to place this Outspark thermometer close enough for a more accurate comparison. However, we emphatically say it looks just like the same good quality of our current Bull thermometer, only smaller.Looking back at the product page, I now see a photo of the diameter, and there's a small list "About the Item" that says, "Replacement parts for Bull 16509." In our haste, once we saw "Angus," we overlooked the additional information in the small print and focused more on the title, "BBQ Grill Thermometer Replacement for All Bull Grills Parts." We feel the title should be clearer and state, "for Bull 16509," instead of "All Bull Grills."Before you order, make sure you have a Bull grill model 16509 or this thermometer won't be big enough.
