this is the best ice maker for a small freezer! Plus it it was affordable and makes super cute ice! LOVE IT!!!

The reason for three stars instead of five is because these can be a little tricky. The fill lines are difficult for me to see, they may be fine for others. You kinda have to squish it and roll it and bang it to get everything to come loose – Empty it out squish it roll it tap it again for the rest. The ice is perfect though perfect size little cubes that I like.

Cute, but takes some getting used to, and definitely not a quick solution to make ice. After about 6 hours and some effort, you get little cubes that easily fit inside narrow mouth bottles.First thing, you only fill them up to a hair above the second row. Then push the center in, filling the other chambers. You MUST put something heavier in the center to hold it down or it will float up.Second, you MUST put it on a completely flat surface in the freezer or the water sinks below the center.Third, you'll need to run it under warm water for 30 seconds, as well as fill the center with warm water. You'll need to squeeze the sides to loosen the ice. Empty the center water, then twist back and forth to remove the center piece.Fourth, the ice doesn't come out easily. You'll need to press the chambers individually, emptying as you go, to get them all out.The silicone will stretch as the ice expands, but does not permanently affect the shape.If you have some patience, this is a good small-cube ice maker. Also, you really only get enough ice in each to use in one glass.A little too high-priced for the end result, but cute and does make small cubes. The kid really likes them, but the adults, not so much.

This product has no identifying labeling or embossed markings on the cup or insert to determine if the product is dishwasher safe. I popped it in top rack thinking- it's plastic & silicone- it should be fine. NOPE it's not fine. The yellow color insert is so warped it won't fit at all into the cup. The blue one is only slightly warped and will be usable as long as I don't pop it in dishwasher again! Beware to buyers: this product is hand wash only.
