I found a whole box of old slides at my parents house. We don't have a slide projector and I wanted to sort through them to get some digitized, so found this viewer on Amazon and it was just what I needed.Works great, you can plug it into a usb or use 4 AA batteires.Really easy to use, just turn on light using the lower switch and drop the slide into the slot at the top, view the slide under magnification and press the upper button to eject slide into the catch tray. The light is led so does not get hot and provides nice colour balance on the slides. You can even view negatives using the side slot.Overall, very happy with this slide viewer and very useful if you have slides and no projector!

The product is exactly what I wanted but the slides get jammed, and they have to be removed with tweezers. Frustrating.

I was able to go through 100's of slides in a short period of time....and ended up throwing out half of them. It was just what I needed!

My mom has a eye disease so she strugles with close up, dark, and/or small thing s. This made it just bright enough and large enough to not cause an issue. It was AWESOMEMy dad passed away a year ago so I had flown to Florida to help her go through storage, and hang some things. Being sad ( but happy of the memories,) was strain enough, one never realizes just how true laugh until you cry or any of those sayings. Typically that would be enough to cause at least a head ache...thank you is in order to the manufactures.

Good enough to review and save old Negative Films, easy to operate with on off button, the price is the lowest and same quality with higher price similars, no need battery it's waste of money. I used my old Canon Powershot SX50HS to take negative pictures directly from the screen of this viewer, move them to my computer, then open each with Paint (Windows 10 free software ready), crop, then Invert Color. The quality is good enough for my requirement.

The slide often jammed and did not eject the slide; with some effort, I could manually remove the slide. I did see this comment in prior reviews but decided to try it anyway. Guess I should have returned it.

This is an affordable, portable way to quickly and easily view sides or negatives, allowing us to quickly sort and organize. It is not a scanner and the negatives are viewable as just that, negatives, which is how the product is described. My only suggestion would be to include a regular ac/dc power adapter in addition to the USB but USB is easily workable.

We have now used our viewer to sort through well over 1000 slides, scanning about 700 of them. The viewer works well and gives a very bright image. Slides sometimes stick when you try to take them out, but a quick shake solves that easily. A really good buy!

I went through about 500 negatives in about five hours. The scanning process is so quick. I just scanned them as is, as I run everything through Photoshop anyway which is much more accurate than 'step' functions for brightness, color, etc. These were old negatives, 25 years or more old, so some of the colors may have changed as did the saturation, which I found was sometimes too a little too much. Now, that could be the result of the original negatives or the scanner, but most scans were fairly accurate. One tip, I use lint-free gloves to handle the negatives, but old strips of celluloid tend to attract dust. That gets transferred to the plate in the scanner that the slides/negatives rest one and tend to shed. It will then show up in your scans. They give you a dust removal tool which is very good. However, if you're pulling strips in and out on one side of the insert only, the dust will tend often to stick to the plate. It is best to always go in one direction only. That way, most the dust that comes in, gets pushed out the other side and will lessen the amount of times you need to use the tool. I also clean the tool after each use with a piece of scotch tape so the dust from the tool doesn't wind up back in the scanner. Secondly, the basic resolution of 14 megapixels is very adequate. The 22 megapixel resolution is only a 14Mp re-interpolated up to 22 Mp. If you want the higher resolution and you are using Photoshop or Corel Paint Shop Pro, do your interpolation there. You can easily print 16x20 prints with 14 Mp. The extra 8 megapixels of resolution can only add unwanted artifacts to your image files. I'm very happy with this unit and so are my kids and grandkids with the memories!

While the viewer did work and the picture was OK, every once in a while one to several slides would get stuck in the viewer. I had to shake it so that the slide would come out. Sometimes it would happen so often, it was annoying.
