I love cast iron no doubt about it I love cast-iron. And when I saw the animals laid out the fish, the pig, the roast and ears it all just came together and so I purchased for my own satisfaction and for my grandson who wants to learn to cook a set of the cast-iron cookware and bake so they will learn to do the best they can. they are absolutely adorable, good size and you know what my boys really took a liking to them instantly. Thank you.

Temperamental at best.I tried corn bread first. I used bacon grease but also should have used flour or cornmeal too. They didn’t release and it was a mess. I split the batysr between this pan and my lodge round cast iron, used the samegrease, and it released perfectly.I made pancakes this morning by heating the pan to 350F on the stove, spraying liberally with pam, then putting them under the broiler to finish mid-oven. This worked and they did release. The mold isn’t very deep or pronounced so if there’s nearly any color you won’t really see a pig but more of a blob. The pan is small. Ridiculously small. 1-2T of batter pig and they will rise over the lip.It has decent weight and it does hold heat but the finish is just ok and the molds are too shallow and not well designed.
