Works well like the dimming control while no motion detected to save battery especially on cloudy days when may not get a full charge. It has a fairly long range of detection of motion. Haven't had to use remote control it detects our motion in range so haven't needed it. Very affordable.

Pros:For those that need a security light over a doorway or access that brightens when someone stands under them, these lights would be adequate. They provide enough light to easily find your keys and open a door, and the dimer light would act as a beacon to that same portal or door. The lights were easily assembled with a Philips head screw driver and mounted to a tree. but mounting the lights to a cement or brick wall will require a drill, the proper size bit, some measuring and a little skill to install using the enclosed mollies. The lights brightened when my Chocolate Lab ran directly underneath them making it easy to see him in the yard.Cons:I bought these lights for area coverage, and was a little disappointed in their luminosity, coverage and motion sensing range. The remotes as reported in other reviews have an extremely limited range, and I am unable to switch the lights in the yard to bright; or turn on the timer from the porch. While experimenting with the remotes, I found that I had to be almost on top of the lights and in alignment with the front of the lights for the remotes to work. I mounted these lights at around the seven foot mark because other reviewers reported that if they were mounted to high, they would not register someone walking beneath them. Even so, although the lights registered my presence and brightened, they did not brighten to my approach until I was almost under them. The lights did not stay on very long after motion ceased and other than setting a manual timer, I can see no way to change the default amount of time the lights stay on after their very limited ability to sense motion ceases . I guess this is a battery saving feature, but I wish they would stay bright a little longer. They dimmed even while I was still in the area (But not underneath them).Overall:These lights may seem small when they arrive, but the dimensions are clearly listed in the description. When assembling the lights on the mounting arms, you need to pay attention to the orientation of the bracket end. Yes... there is an upside-down. For someone who just wants a security light over a door, these would work, and the price point I bought them at was very reasonable. For those that want large area coverage, you might want to spend more and get larger ones with a much greater luminosity. For those that need remote operation from a distance, or wide motion sensing ability, these might not be the lights for you. Be aware that these ARE solar powered lights, and even at lower lighting levels may not last the entire night, through no fault of the manufacturer or seller. Something else worth mentioning, is each remote is for a specific light, and they are not labeled. You will have to do a little experimenting to figure out which remote goes with which lightI got these lights on sale and as I said earlier, the price point was was reasonable for what I received. I don't know if the actual lumens are exactly as stated in the description and have no way to measure such. All the rest was plainly stated in the description, or covered in other reviews, so I would expect them to be at least close (With a full charge) to what was stated in the description. I plan on keeping these lights and using them until I can find, or figure out something that better fits my needs; then I will repurpose these lights to an area and application more suited to their actual physical abilities.

Dusk to dawn is very dim if this is what you are looking for get a different product. If you just want motion it’s great, but unfortunately for me I wanted true dusk to dawn.
