I had old cartridge which was really hard to fit to anything. After I talked to specialist, they recommended me that new design which fits to most of the shower handle. I also got the new handle, it so easy to install and pretty cool design. Its really good solution if you are having not fitting old cartridge/handle , hot water or similar problems.

This was exactly what i was looking for! I searched all over and finally found this part and it fit perfectly with my shower. I have had no leaks and it seems to be just as good of quality as the part that came with the shower, if not a little better. Not to mention the increased water pressure in this. The only frustrating part about all of this is that they took about a month just to ship it out to me.

I had replaced the original cartridge that lasted more than 18 years about 2 years ago with a cartridge made by another company (MOEN). It was much stiffer to turn the handle and lasted a little less than 2 years. It started making the pipes vibrate or shake when set at certain temperatures (the hotter the worse). Since I've installed this PFister cartridge, it is very easy to turn and I have no more pipe vibration or shaking. It was very easy to install and so far I am very very satisfied with this cartridge. Would definitely recommend.

Installed this PB valve in a circa 2008 Pfister shower control and it now works better than the original. Easy installation, great fit (no leaks) and easily adjustable anti-scald plate. Adapter for older valves comes per-installed so unless you have a newer model it installs right out of the box as is.

This product Pfister 9743210 was ordered as a replacement for the older model Pfister 9740420, which is still on sale. This product is as good as the old one in terms of functionality, quality is good from first sight. Fit is excellent. Movement is smooth. I noticed a very little bit less movement range for the handle with the newer model. The newer model is cheaper than the old one, so it is recommended, as it will be purchased again with the necessity.

Great value and easy to replace old cartridge. I have two Pfister showers and that were in desperate need of new valves. After some searching and looking at big block stores, I found these for a better price and quality seems great (6 months so far with no issues). The instructions with the valve are straight forward or you can always look up a video of someone swapping cartridges. The valves do have a hot water safety piece that you will want to check before you install. The first one I installed wouldn’t give me the hot water I wanted and after reading and reviewing I found the safety piece was set to C, a higher level, that reduced the amount of hot water allowed into to mix with cold. Again, I am happy with the quality, price and ease of use.

I do not write many reviews, but when something is worthy of it, I certainly am willing to put my words behind it. (the only caveat I would add to that statement, is these are only freshly installed, so I have not been using them save more than about a month and change. If something were to change, I will update the review accordingly.)I have to say I am very impressed with this cartridge. A few years ago I did a master bathroom full gut / renovation, & at the time I also changed out all the faucet fixtures in the house, except for one, which was in my upstairs guest bathroom, as it is behind a fiberglass tub enclosure, the wall behind it was the upstairs exterior stucco wall to the house itself, so there was no easy access to change out the entire valve body/faucet completely.I had an entire renovation project at the time, so I just left the old faucet in place.Fast fwd ,& I use this guest bathroom for fast showers since there’s no glass to squeegee as in my renovated master bath.But I quickly realized the old OEM cartridge with the rubber O-rings inside, was squeaking & getting harder to turn (also have very hard water), so I knew it would start leaking soon.So I found this retrofit, ceramic disc cartridge, as well as the accompanying trim plates by the same manufacturer. I’m very impressed with all of these pieces. Not only did they fit precisely with an OEM fit, there were no leaks (as a tip use KY jelly to lubricate all of the O-rings when installing), but literally zero issues with the install as well as post install operation.Turning that handle on the ceramic disc is just like all of the other Hansgrohe faucets that I put in the house during the renovation. Without fail, this was money well spent on this retrofit cartridge. (unless, for some unforeseen reason, it does not hold up reliably across time, which I have not had it long enough to assess.)
