This set of 3 adzes is of a superior quality. They arrived in a timely manner with an edge ready to use once the handles were put on the heads. I am not usually impressed with factory sharpening bit not only did these arrive with a ready to use edge, the edge sustained and was easy to maintain through use. Overall a superior quality product that is a pleasure to use. Truly the equal to my tool that are 100-200 years old.

Wonderfully sharp out of the box and ready to go to work. Had to use them when I received them and was able to rough out three bowls. The pressure fit handle design will make future handle replacement a breeze. I had been looking at these for some time and wished I'd gotten them sooner.

I am using these for work with roughing out wood projects. They are great on bowls and troughs. Sharpen very well and hold an edge. I really like them The quality is better than a Froeh that I bought from Lee Valley at the same cost as all three of these. Worth the wait.

Well made and designed. I immediately began using them on a large carving. I wrapped the handles in tape to improve the grip. They are really all you need. The price for all three is less than most individual ones in most stores.

In comparison to anything else I could find it seemed like a great starter set. Just got them today a couple weeks before amazon shows that they'll be here. Plenty sharp. I used a strop with a sharpening compound and they cut great. Definetly should be familiar with hand tools before purchasing is all I would reccomend. The heads need to be secured by the customer if that's what you choose to do and the top of my handles protrudes a bit and will have to be trimmed. But the product is definetly of a reasonable quality for the price.

The adzes were sharp, but needed touched up. That's always the case with new axes and adzes. The only thing I have against them is that the handle holes could use a small spline or a flat to help keep the adze head from turning while swinging it into the wood. They are about the perfect angle, but the flat adze could be a little bit flatter.

Liked the price and apparent steel quality but bevel is on wrong (inside) side and handles are simply big dowels that slide into round openings on the heads (all handles are easily interchangeable with each head-not necessarily a good thing for this type of tool. You will need to grind down cutting edge and add bevel to outside to make a better cutting tool in my opinion. Also, you will need to use a dremel, file, and other tools to remove all the metal burrs on the heads so that you can get the handles to slide in correctly. If you can modify the heads to accept a more efficient and ergonomic handle that would also greatly improve the tool. Overall, the cost is low enough to get you started until you can modify theses, or afford the better designed versions.

This is a wonderful set of tools to get you started in the wood working arts. I am having just one problem, and it might well be my own inexperience causing it. The head of the adze seems to slip down the handle pretty easily. I may be holding the blade to the wood at the wrong angle when I strike. The head is easy to re install by simply pounding down on the wooden end you see ground side down now in the picture. Several sharp raps in this manner gets you back in action for a decent amount of time, just something to watch for. The edge seems to hold a blade quite nicely as well. I have used all three blades for several hours each without noticeable dulling. This is a great way to get going on making log benches, bowls, all kinds of things.
