This ceramic pot was perfect for our beer infused turkey. Looking forward to the next one 🦃 🍺 definitely recommend this over a beer can stand.

These are our favorite to use for chicken in the smoker. We have 4 now. They clean up really easily. 20 times better than the heavy “wired” ones. Easy to add beer or apple juice and the spices needed to center. If you’re in the fence, just purchase them! Totally worth it!

I like how you can add liquids, spices and seasoning to the reservoir

I purchased this to switch up my roasted chicken game and it did not disappoint. I stuffed the middle of the ceramic body with every herb I had in the fridge as well as white wine and lemon and garlic and the product was the most juiciest chicken I’ve ever had.Clean up is super simple, you just dump everything that was inside the chicken into the garbage and I rinsed it off and popped it in the dishwasher and it came clean perfectly.

A good buy! Sturdy base. Held up a 17lb turkey. I don’t even know why I got a 17lb turkey, but I did and this worked perfectly!

Was worried about smoking a turkey for the first time. This was the moistest result and had even the pickiest turkey eaters raving.

I used to use the wire type. The chicken was always stuck on it and hard to remove. These are so easy to install and use. The chicken slips right off them when it is cooked. Also, extremely easy to clean. I just love to use them.

I recently ordered one of these chicken thrones for my smoker. Once it arrived, I was excited to try it out. I was impressed with the size & quality of it. It was super easy clean up! I would 10/10 recommend this to a friend!

I wrote a slightly critical review of the taller version of this same product. Had to return that, but I bought this at the same time. This normal sized chicken 'throne' with a chicken on it will fit nicely into my pellet smoker. No fit problems like I had with the tall one. It keeps chicken moist, does a great job of imparting flavor and allows you to avoid using aluminum or other cans. Since the 'throne' is glazed, clean-up has never taken more than soap, water and light scrubbing for me. Even smoke residue from the smoker washes right off.You can have fun coming up with different ingredients to add to it also. One of my favorites is an Asian mix similar to Korean bulgogi. The throne comes with several ideas though, and anything you could use as a marinade can be used in the throne to steam into the chicken also.Given it's price point, I think this is something every BBQ and grilling fan should have in their cooking toolbox.

This is good quality and heavy. It supported the turkey and added moisture. I roasted the turkey on the BBQ so the meat ended up nice and moist while the skin was crispy and a bit smoky. I used beer, butter, salt and pepper, as well as springs of fresh sage, rosemary, and tyme. It turned out perfect and it was the first time I roasted a turkey on a charcoal BBQ.

I have read a couple of websites where "authorities" said this method does not work to infuse flavor into poultry. They claimed that the flavored liquids in the steamer do not get into the meat. Well, I had to see for myself. At different times on the same day, I made one chicken with an oil rub, but no liquid in the steamer and then another with an oil rub, and pre heated apple juice and crushed rosemary in the steamer. I don't understand how the "authorities" could have been so wrong. Perhaps they never used this steamer. The plain chicken without any seasoning was, to say the least, pretty bland, somewhat dry, and only suitable for use in soup or chicken salad. The other one was very juicy and I could definitely taste the apple and rosemary flavors! I also have to mention that I followed the "slow roast" directions of 275 degrees and 45 minutes per pound which is far lower than my usual 350 degrees. I am a believer! This worked to perfection! As I perused the net for ideas for seasonings (rubs and finishing sauces), I discovered "brining", (marinating with a salt solution). I really didn't want to put too much extra salt into my food, so I used half of what was called for and tried it. I used 2 cups of apple cider, 1 TB of salt and a 1/4 cup of liquid smoke (optional). I put the chicken in a large plastic tub and marinated it in the refrigerator for 1 hour per pound as stated. Then I roasted my chicken on the steamer with more cider and onion and garlic powder. MAGIC! That chicken was the best I ever ate. I know everyone is saying the same thing, but it's totally true. I can't wait to try the turkey steamer. I will brine it, and steam with cider. Never in my entire life have I had a turkey come out beyond "pretty good". I have a feeling my luck will be changing now that I found the Sittin' chicken and Sittin' turkey.UPDATE: I just called the manufacturer/inventor to ask if this ceramic steamer could be used in the oven at a higher temperature. I was pretty sure it could since they use it on a hot grill. The low temperature took too long, and just wasn't convenient for me. Although it was very juicy and tasty, the low temperature did not produce a crispy skin (and lets face it, that's the best part of the chicken!). The man said it was perfectly OK to roast at higher temperatures as I thought. I will go back to roasting at 350-375 degrees.
